OpTic Gaming Los Angeles has yet to win a match across the entire Call of Duty League, placing bottom of the table following the Atlanta Home Series.
Ahead of the LA Home Series, OpTic Gaming released a video to address concerns around their performance so far and to announce a player switch.
Austin “SlasheR” Liddicoat is moving to the assault rifle (AR) role, while Brandon “Dashy” Otell will become a submachine gun (SMG) player.
In the video, OpTic general manager Eric “Muddawg” Sanders, said: “We have too many assault rifles on this team. Unfortunately right now the meta is one assault rifle, four SMGs, so we have to do our best to adapt to that.
“The team goal for the next week is to just grind as hard as we can and really prepare for our LA homestand event. After that we have three weeks off where we can really evaluate what we’re going to do next.”
OpTic Gaming suffered 3-0 losses to both Chicago Huntsmen and Atlanta FaZe, the two best teams in the league. They also lost 3-2 to Paris Legion and 3-1 to Florida Mutineers.
The LA Home Series, hosted by both Los Angeles Guerrillas and OpTic Gaming LA, kicks off Saturday 7th March at the Shrine Expo Hall.
