Call of Duty Warzone, the free-to-play Battle Royale sensation, might just be coming to mobile devices. A new job listing from publisher Activision has revealed what sounds like a Warzone mobile version.
Warzone mobile version outed?
The job listing in question has since been removed. However, the job listing from Activision was for an Executive Producer on "WZM" which appears to be short for Warzone Mobile.
The job listing goes even further to point towards a Warzone mobile version, specifically naming the Battle Royale, as the applicant has to: "harvest, adapt and deliver the essential features from Warzone console and PC into their best mobile instantiation."
While the job listing has been quickly taken down, CharlieIntel captured a screenshot, which you can view below.
As you can see, the job listing points towards a Warzone mobile version several times.
Another task the applicant has to perform is: "Improve upon the Warzone formula by proposing and producing mobile-specific additions and changes to features to ensure a best-in-class mobile experience that players will love."
This is a very clear indication we might see a Warzone mobile version appear sometime in the future.
However, there's no indication how far the Warzone mobile is into development. It also begs the question of why this appears to be a standalone game, instead of an extension to Call of Duty: Mobile.
While the job listing does seem to be legitimate, it is always a good idea to take things such as this with a grain of salt until Activision officially reveals Warzone Mobile to the world.
