Does DayZ Support Crossplay?

Bohemia Interactive's DayZ is still going strong five years after its release in 2018, and many new players are still getting into the game today. Yes, DayZ is a multiplayer game. In fact, DayZ is a multiplayer-only game, meaning that you must play with other players in order to enjoy the game. If you want to play DayZ solo, you'll have to download an outside mod. 

Is Dayz Crossplay?

DayZ is available on several different platforms, so it makes sense that many players who have friends who own the game on other platforms might be wondering if they can play with them.

Unfortunately, DayZ does not offer crossplay, meaning you won't be able to play with friends who have the game on a different platform. This is disappointing news for DayZ fans who want to join the game with friends who don't share their platform, but Bomehia Interactive says that the feature isn't coming anytime soon. 

Will DayZ Ever Have Crossplay?

It's unlikely that DayZ will ever have crossplay, according to a recent statement by developers. When asked whether the game will have crossplay compatibility on Twitter, Bohemia Interactive responded on 19th January 2023 saying that the studio "[has] no plan on this."

While crossplay is an often-requested feature, it seems like it isn't going to be added to DayZ based on this recent Tweet.

That's all you need to know about whether DayZ has crossplay, and whether developers ever plan on bringing this feature to the game. It's unfortunate that you can't play DayZ with your friends who own the game on other platforms, but it doesn't sound like Bohemia Interactive plans on adding it anytime soon.
