When it comes to the seasonal changes in World of Warcraft, players tend to expect a lot of new content to drop. In Season 3, we got exactly that. One of the things that players look forward to the most is the raids that appear in the game. Players enjoy going with big groups and taking down a variety of raid bosses.

Not only are there raids and dungeons to complete but there are also a wide variety of different events available as well. Most of these events will happen in the open world in a variety of locations. Here, we are going to go over the details of the Dreamsurges that appear in Season 3 of the Dragonflight expansion of World of Warcraft.

How Dreamsurges Work In WoW & Portal Spawn Times

The Dreamsurges are a world event that occurs within the Dragon Isles. Each week, the Dreamsurges can happen in The Waking Shores, Ohn'ahran Plaines, Thaldrazus, and The Azure Span. The Dreamsurge happens every 30 minutes, as a major Waking Dream portal will open up.

The zone where the portal opens up will have the Dreaming Winds buff, a 25% increase in EXP. Hamuul Runetotem in Valdrakken will give players the Surging Dreams quest to help get them started. Players can take down many Druids of the Flame and earn a lot of EXP. Minor portals will be scattered throughout the affected zone as well. Every 30 minutes, players can actually vote on an additional buff for that zone as well. So Dreamsurges is a great time to get more EXP and other bonuses.

One of the main rewards players will be going for during Dreamsurges is the EXP bonuses. But on top of that, players will be collecting Dreamsurge Coalescence which can be exchanged for a variety of items. Here is a list of what players can expect to be rewarded for participating in Dreamsurges in WoW:

  • Renewed Magmammoth Mount
  • Duskwing Ohuna Mount
  • Cheddar
  • Crimson Swoglet
  • Dreamsurge Remnant
  • Friendsurge Defenders

As indicated, the main rewards for participating in Dreamsurges are going to be mounts and pets. Of course, the additional EXP gains will be available as well. To get as much Dreamsurge Coalescence, players should participate in World Quests, find hidden stashes, and kill rare elites in zones affected by the Dreamsurge.
