WoW SoD Phase 3 Release Date, Time & Content

Get ready, World of Warcraft: Classic fans! The Season of Discovery Phase 3's release time and date is coming in hot, with a lot of new content and a max level cap increase to 50.

WoW SoD Phase 3 Release Date & Time Countdown

Phase 3 of WoW SoD launches on 4 April 2024. The precise release time is 13:00 PDT. This is a worldwide release time, so everyone will start playing at the exact same moment. Below, you can find a countdown timer to stare at.

WoW SoD Phase 3 Content Highlights

There's a whole lot of content to enjoy in WoW Season of Discovery Phase 3, including a huge new raid, dungeons, PvP additions, and even world events. Check out the highlights below!

New Raid and Dungeons in SoD Phase 3

Get ready to enter the Sunken Temple (Temple of Atal'Hakkar) in WoW Classic Season of Discovery Phase 3, the first 20-player raid in SoD. You will be able to face eight (8) bosses and earn a tonne of rewards for completing this raid, which is a "redesigned experience that brings to life the story of the increasing tension between the trolls and dragons."

There are also new class quests and rewards in the Sunken Temple raid, just in case you were wondering. In terms of new dungeons, well, you'll be able to rediscover Zul'Farrak, Blackrock Depths, and Maraudon at max level, with new loot available for all classes!

New PvP Rewards

For those who love PvP in WoW Classic Season of Discovery, Phase 3 increases the PvP ranks from 5 to 7. That means all new rewards for players to unlock, including new PvP class sets. In total there are 54 items and 18 accessories available! Further, new Blood Moon rewards are available up to level 50, with new currencies to collect and spend.

New Runes & Gear Slots

Of course, there are new Runes to uncover in the latest Season of Discovery Phase 3 update. For each class, there are six (6) new Runes, which you can unlock with quests, finding secrets, and completing puzzles. We are also excited to report two new gear slots: Helms and Bracers!

Nightmare Incursions

Mysterious portals from the Emerald Nightmare will open up in four locations across Azeroth, namely:

• Duskwood
• Hinterlands
• Feralas
• Ashenvale

This is an all-new PvE outdoor event, which ties into the Sunken Temple raid for Season of Discovery phase 3. You can earn new items and, importantly, make progress on your reputation with the Emerald Wardens. The content is available to those still leveling up, and players at max level in WoW Classic SoD.

Last but not least, SoD players get a 100% XP buff (called Discoverer's Delight) up to level 39, and with the release of Phase 3, they also get a 50% experience buff from level 40 to 49!
