Best DP-27 class setup for COD Vanguard

The iconic Soviet light machine gun DP-27 is one of the few LMGs released for Call of Duty: Vanguard at launch and, in our opinion, by far the best LMG currently available in the game.

The Degtyaryov machine gun, which is the full name of this weapon, was the standard Soviet infantry light machine gun during World War II, also known for being equipped on almost all Soviet tanks in WWII due to its flexibility.

And "flexibility" is exactly the word we would use to describe this potent weapon in COD Vanguard. What makes it so special is the fact that it is by far the most mobile LMG in the game while still being able to output a tremendous amount of damage.

Although still being good at range combat, as we've mentioned in our list of best weapons in COD Vanguard, this LMG excels for those players who want an LGM which complements a more aggressive playstyle and allows players to deal with their foes in close-range combat, due to the nature of most of the new maps in Vanguard.

The best DP-27 loadout for COD Vanguard

Attachments and perks we've opted to use are a perfect fit for the best DP-27 class setup in the COD Vanguard pre-season.

• Muzzle: Recoil Booster
• Barrel: Kovalevskaya 680mm BO2D
• Optic: Slate Reflector
• Stock: ZAC S2M
• Underbarrel: M1941 Handstop
• Magazine: 7.62x54MMR 105 Round Pans
• Ammo Type: Hollow Point
• Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
• Proficiency: Fleet
• Kit: Fully Loaded

The general idea behind this build is to maintain the firepower of the LMG while making it easier to execute an aggressive playstyle we're aiming for in this build.

The Recoil Booster will provide an improved fire rate, while Hollow Point rounds will boost our time-to-kill in close range even if our aim is not as good due to the removal of damage penalty when hitting limbs.

The 7.62x54MMR mag will make sure that we have no downtime, which is especially important with this build, as we will often find ourselves in the heat of battle and reloading an LMG in close-quarter combat will result in almost certain death. This is further supplemented with the Fully Loaded kit choice.

This hybrid build is the best choice for players who like to bring the big guns up close and personal, but it requires a specific mindset in order to play it correctly; otherwise, you will often find yourself gunned down by an average player with an SMG, so make sure to properly learn outs and ins of new maps in order to gain the upper hand and utilize this build.
