Best M16 loadout for Warzone Season 3

Warzone Season 3 is finally here, and it brings a huge amount of new content.

The battle royale has received 3 new weapons, including the PPSh-41 SMG and the Swiss K31 sniper rifle, a brand new Verdansk map set in the 1980s, the Season 3 battle pass, and a whole lot of improvements and balance changes.

What's particularly interesting is that this update comes with a lot of balance changes, as it seems that Raven Software is now willing to experiment more with the balance and introduce changes where they are needed.

When it comes to tactical rifles, the M16 and Cold War's AUG have both received nerfs. Raven explains that these rifles "were able to reach rates of fire that allowed the wielder to negate a requisite identity pillar of burst rifles—accuracy" and that's why they have increased intervals between bursts and lowered neck damage multipliers.

Particularly for the M16:

• The time between bursts increased by 10%
• The neck damage multiplier changed from 1.8 to 1.1

These are strong nerfs, but we think that the M16 is still a really solid weapon in Warzone, especially if you are able to aim precisely and land those 3-round bursts on target.

If you still want to play the M16 in Warzone Season 3, but you are afraid whether these nerfs have ruined the weapon, try these attachments for the optimal class setup post-nerfs in Season 3.

• Muzzle: Agency Silencer
  Agency Silencer is one of the best muzzles in the game and practically a must-have in Warzone.
• Barrel: 20.5” Task Force
  With a 100% bonus on Effective Damage Range and + 50% Bullet Velocity, you will often be able to kill your enemies with just two bursts. Provided that you aim well, of course.
• Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  Not much to say here, 3x is the best optic for this weapon in our opinion, good for both mid-range and long-range combat.
• Underbarrel: SFOD Speedgrip
  You will be a bit faster when sprinting, and you will have a little bit more Horizontal Recoil Control. Your overall movement will be slower, but nothing too problematic.
• Ammunition: 45 Rnd
  In our opinion, we think that the 45 Rnd magazine is an optimal choice, as it will greatly increase your aim down sight speed, while still having a reasonable amount of bullets.
