CoD Modern Warfare 2 - How Many Campaign Missions Are There?

The multiplayer part of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 may have the spotlight going into the release, courtesy of the MW2 beta, but many fans are also looking forward to playing the game's campaign. 

2019's CoD Modern Warfare delivered a bombastic campaign full of intricate set pieces and intense character moments, including the ones featuring the returning charismatic Captain John Price.

Fans expect Modern Warfare 2 to feature a similarly ambitious and wholesome campaign experience. While Activision has yet to reveal more details on the game's campaign, including its length, a new leak seems to have revealed the entire list of campaign missions. 

Every mission in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 

It seems CoD Modern Warfare 2 will feature 16 story missions. This info comes from notable game journalist Tom Henderson, who posted the same for InsiderGaming.

Henderson also revealed the code names of all the 16 MW2 campaign missions that are subject to change when the game officially launches. They are - 

• Backstabbed
• Border
• Convoy Chase
• Gunship
• Intercept
• Marina
• Montage
• Nightwar
• Party
• Prison
• Shadowbase
• ShipAF
• Stolen
• Strike
• Tower
• Wounded

These are arranged in alphabetical order for writing purposes and won't necessarily appear in the same order in the game. We will update this article once the official names and the order of MW2 campaign missions are available. 

Ever since the reveal, Activision has been awfully tight-lipped about Cod MW 2 campaign though we did get an extensive look at one of the missions (ShipAF, according to Henderson) back when MW 2 was revealed.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 launches on 28th October 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, but fans can get up to one-week early access to the campaign by pre-ordering any versions of the game digitally.
