How to get Golden Gas Mask and its effects in Warzone Season 4

The Golden Gas Mask (or “Durable Gas Mask”) is a rare, special durable gas mask that was first introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 5. The item confers a tremendous advantage in Warzone by protecting its wearer from damage caused by noxious fumes, during their runs in Verdansk. Indeed, players can do without it; but then again - how many times were you caught off guard wishing you’d spared some extra life to secure a first-place victory?

Well, if you’ve answered “yes” to this question, then perhaps the Golden Gas Mask is the advantage that you need. But where can you find it? Well, fortunately, we have that covered too.

Where to find the Golden Gas Mask

At this present moment, players can find the Golden Gas Mask by entering through Red Doors. In case you aren’t aware, Red Doors are essentially teleportation doors that transport players to secret locations around the map. These secret rooms contain tons of valuable items, including legendary weapons, Advanced UAVs and of course, the Golden Gas Mask; all of which can assist with your victory.

Red Doors are scattered randomly across the map and don’t have a set location, however, they are most likely to spawn near the edges of the map. We’ve got a guide to the Red Doors in Warzone which you can check out for further details.

Seeking out Red Doors are certainly worth the effort (for obvious reasons). If you manage to find yourself a Golden Gask Mask, then use it wisely. Golden Gas Masks will confer 25 seconds of invulnerability to poison gas, which is double the duration of standard Gas Masks. This is a major advantage for players during the Warzone endgame, especially in smaller circles.

Fun fact: Golden Gas Masks was initially introduced as an easter egg to the secret Stadium location. The rare item was not mentioned in any of the official patch notes and was elusive to data miners at the time.
