Modern Warfare and Warzone R700 sniper rifle gameplay leaked

There aren’t many sniper rifles in Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone, which is why it is so exciting to see a potential new sniper rifle make an appearance. Shortly after the Season 5 Reloaded update, footage of the unreleased sniper rifle has now appeared online.

A Twitter user going by the handle BKTOOR has shared new gameplay of the R700 sniper rifle for Warzone and Modern Warfare.

While this footage isn’t definitive confirmation Infinity Ward will bring this new weapon to the game, it is a good indication release could be getting closer.

First up, it is important to note the R700 sniper rifle doesn’t have a scope attached in the leaked gameplay. This could indicate the R700 might be under the Marksman Rifle category instead of Sniper Rifle, or attachments might still need to be added.

The gameplay below showcases the R700 in action for Warzone and Modern Warfare. It is much more complete than earlier leaks, but still lacks some sound effects, such as a reloading sound.

However, it should put a smile on the face of Call of Duty 4 fans, as it was one of the favourite weapons back in the day.

With the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War reveal taking place on 26th August at 18:30 BST, it isn’t impossible for a new weapon or two to also make an appearance.

The exact release date of the R700 sniper rifle in Warzone and Modern Warfare. In fact, there isn’t even confirmation from Infinity Ward on the existence of this weapon.
