The Iron Trials '84 mode is coming to Warzone with Season 5 Reloaded and here's everything you need to know about it, from how it works to all of the rewards.

Warzone Season 5 Reloaded is here, the penultimate Reloaded mid-season event before the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard.

And it comes stacked with new content as usual, including a brand-new functional melee weapon, the Sai, several new modes, the newest operator Hudson, and a Judge Dredd operator skin.

Iron Trials '84 is one of the new modes slated for release alongside Warzone Season 5 Reloaded and it's the one that will test the limits of your skills, reflexes, and shrewdness.

Will you be able to adapt to the harsh rules of this new mode and come out victorious? Let's see how it works and find out if you have what it takes.

How does Warzone Iron Trials '84 work?

"Iron Trials '84 is set to affect the feel of combat, time to kill, weapon, Perk, and Equipment viability." (Picture: Activision)

The Iron Trials '84 mode is designed to be one of the most challenging ways to play Warzone as "only the strongest survive in the toughest battle royale mode to ever come to Verdansk!"

The mode alters almost every aspect of the game, including weapons availability, perks, equipment viability, TTK of all weapons, and more.

Because of how hard it is, all players will start with increased base health, as well as a higher health regen rate.

The first big change you will notice is that there are no free loadouts, as Loadout Drops have been completely removed.

This means that you will need to purchase all additional weaponry, but even there we have bad news, as prices at a Buy Station are up, and you will find that you need more money than in the regular battle royale.

When it comes to the Gulag, "the emphasis is on a one-on-one skillful takedown against your opponent."  There will be no akimbo, semi-auto or fully auto shotguns available.

If you win the Gulag, you will be dropped back to Verdansk, equipped with everything you had at the end of your Gulag round.

The developers have stated that there will be more modifications that will alter the experience and impact how you play, including a set of map changes, but they are yet to be announced and we will update the article once we know more about them.

Update: Here's the list of  fundamental changes coming to Verdansk via this new mode, as provided by developers:

  • Altered Health and Regeneration
  • Removal of Free Loadout Drops
  • New Gulag Rules
  • Adjusted Environmental Hazards
  • Classified Weapons

Here are three additional changes to expect:

  • Field Upgrades
    • Dead Silence and Stopping Power have been removed. Leave the pocket sand on the playground.

  • Sniper Rifles
    • Can only one-shot to the head within 30 meters. You’re gonna have to get up close and personal with the competition.

  • Vehicles
    • ATVs and Dirt Bikes only. You’ll need to dispatch your foes the old fashioned way. Plan your drops carefully and rotate early.

What are the rewards in Warzone Iron Trials '84?

Win at least one game of Iron Trials ’84 and earn an exclusive Calling Card. (Picture: Activision)

As if it being the toughest mode wasn't enough, the Iron Trials '84 is brutal when it comes to rewards as well.

There will be no participation rewards here, only the exclusive Calling Card awaits you at the end, but only if you win the whole thing and end up placing first.

You can see the Calling Card below:

Given that this is a limited-time mode, it will be exceptionally hard to earn this exclusive Calling Card, so make sure to sharpen your skills and prepare for this merciless battle and secure that first place in at least one match.
