Warzone pros want this overpowered Stoner loadout to be banned

Warzone pros are calling for the Stoner 63 LMG to be removed from competitive tournaments, citing that it's the "biggest bailout gun" in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5.
The Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 patch update saw several changes made to the game, including new content, POIs and even new weapons like the Tec-9 Submachine Gun (SMG) and the EM2 Assault Rifle (AR). There were also some significant weapon balance changes that saw popular weapons like the CR-56 AMAX drop off, only to be replaced by new meta picks, like the Stoner 63 LMG.

Following a shift in tournament formats from lobbies to Customs, several pros have now also raised their concerns about certain weapons becoming too overpowered under these settings. In particular, pros have singled out the Gallo SA12, Kar98, Swiss K31 and particularly, the Stoner 63, to be banned at upcoming events.

Pros want to ban this overpowered Warzone Stoner 63 LMG loadout

Warzone pro player, Unrational, called the Stoner 63 the "biggest bailout gun". The pro voiced his concern on Twitter, saying: "Why is everyone getting the Kar banned out of these tournaments." Other pros, like Newbz and ScummN concurred with Unrational's sentiment, agreeing that the weapon should be banned.

The tournament class loadout that pros are calling to be banned is:

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: 21.9” Task Force
  • Optic: Royal & Kross 4x
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap

The Agency Suppressor buffs vertical recoil control by 12% and provides muzzle flash concealment. The Field Agent Grip further boosts both vertical and horizontal recoil control.

Attaching the 21.9" Task Force Barrel provides an additional 8% damage and will buff effective damage range and bullet velocity by 100% and 41%, respectively.

In particular, the Serpent Wrap Rear Grip boosts aim down sight time by 25%, making the Stoner even more deadly.

We'll leave it up to you to decide whether or not you agree with this call. Other weapon loadouts are already banned in certain community tournaments, so it's not a long-shot off from seeing the Stoner join the list as well.
