Since the release of Black Ops Cold War, each new season of both Warzone and Cold War has received a mid-season update called Reloaded, with an abundance of new content.
The mid-season event usually comes with several new operators, new weapons, balance changes, and maybe some slight changes to maps, but we don't expect that to happen this time around, as Warzone recently received a new map, Verdansk '84.
We know that Warzone Season 3 Reloaded update will include a brand new event as well, featuring some of your favourite 80s action heroes, like Rambo and John McClane from Die Hard.
Let's check out everything that we know for now about Season 3 Reloaded.
When is the Warzone Season 3 Reloaded update?
Activision has officially confirmed that Season 3 Reloaded is starting on May 20, alongside the upcoming 80s Action Heroes event which will include Rambo and John McClane.
Warzone Season 3 80s Action Heroes event and Operators
The big theme of the mid-Season 3 update will be the 80s Action Heroes event.
With the start of Season 3, Warzone has transitioned from modern times to the 80s, with the new Verdansk map, and to celebrate that, Activision is bringing legendary action movie heroes from that era, including Rambo, John McClane, and others that are yet to be revealed.
The event will also include several limited-time modes and some challenges and rewards, but details about them are still kept secret.
This crossover went won't be limited just to Warzone, as 80s Action Heroes are coming to COD Mobile and Cold War as well.
Warzone Season 3 Reloaded new weapons
In total, six new weapons are planned for release in Season 3.
The CARV.2 tactical rifle had been released a few weeks later, and now we expect the last two weapons to be added with the mid-Season 3 update: the AMP63 Pistol and the Baseball Bat.
The AMP63 is a fully automatic gun, which developers describe as a cross between a self-loading pistol and a fully automatic SMG.
The weapon should be particularly effective in close quarters due to its high damage output and fast fire rate.
The Baseball Bat is, well... a baseball bat. In terms of gameplay, Activision says that this is a one-hit melee weapon, so if you want to slam your enemies to the head and watch them instantly dropping, you will have a lot of fun with the Baseball Bat.
And that's all that we currently know about the Warzone mid-Season 3 update. Asides from new content, there will probably be a lot of balance changes for the various weapons, both for those that are performing well, and some that are underperforming.
We will keep this article updated with all the news and leaks about Warzone Season 3 Reloaded as they appear.
