Dead By Daylight Blood Moon Event: Start Date, Time, Rewards & More

Dead by Daylight has introduced a new event for March 2024 called the Blood Moon event, featuring a variety of new festivities for fans including cosmetics, a limited-time store collection, an event tome, and more. It's the game's first spring-themed event ever. Here's everything we know so far about Dead by Daylight's upcoming Blood Moon event.

Dead by Daylight Blood Moon Event Gameplay

During the Blood Moon Event, a new mechanic called Blood Zones will be present on the maps. Killers and survivors can each activate Blood Zones; if a survivor creates a Blood Zone using Blood Charges collected around the map, it'll benefit the survivor team, and vice versa. Each side can also remove the other side's Blood Zones.

Killer Blood Zones have the following benefits:

• Increased Lunge duration and reach (Though cool-down time after Lunge Attacks is increased by +2.14 seconds)

And Survivor Blood Zones have these boosts:

• Reduced Grunts of Pain volume by -50 %.
• Reduced Grunts of Pain volume by -100 % when crouching
• Reduces Removal time of Blood Zones by -50 %
• Reduces Removal time of Blood Zones by -100 % when crouching

Also throughout the event, players will be able to collect Thrombotic Trinkets by completing challenges that they can turn in for various Blood Moon-themed cosmetics.

There will also be a Blood Moon event tome, with more cosmetics and earnable rewards within.

The following characters have cosmetics in the Blood Moon collection (three for survivors and three for killers):

• Ace Visconti: Gambler's Rush
• Élodie Rakoto: Catacomb Exploration
• Mikaela Reid: Blood Magic
• The Doctor: Blood Shock
• The Oni: Red Mist
• The Skull Merchant: Scarlet Vengeance

Dead by Daylight's upcoming Blood Moon event will last just under two weeks. It will begin on 18 March at 11 AM ET.

The Blood Moon event ends at 31 March, also at 11 AM ET.
