However, in a more recent encounter on Rebirth Island, one Reddit user demonstrated clearly how players barely need to aim to decimate multiple enemies on the map.
Warzone Pacific players beg devs to nerf Akimbo Double Barrel shotguns
On 3rd January, user 'IamEclipse' posted a Reddit thread entitled "Just in case you didn't think the Akimbo Double Barrels are completely broken." The thread featured a video clip showing how they wiped an entire squad entering a rooftop through a flight of stairs on Rebirth.
The thread quickly attracted a flood of comments by frustrated Warzone Pacific players.
In a lengthy reply, one Redditor claimed that "any gun on Warzone in an enclosed space at point-blank range" should be capable of wiping everyone out, which many players would agree.
However, a different user correctly pointed out that "four shots should not instantly down three enemies," especially when the player wasn't even aiming at two of the enemies. The user also added that one of the players was standing behind the targeted enemy yet still being eliminated.
A third Reddit user was perhaps blunter, saying, "You're a dumbass if you think these guns are okay." A fourth said, "Two zero skill guns for zero skilled players."
The original poster added that they didn't know how many enemies were coming up the stairs and "didn't even have to think" when shooting. "This sh*t is nuts; if you can't beat em, join em," they added.
Several other Reddit threads have emerged complaining about the same issue.
For example, Reddit user TMSharkie showed how they blasted an enemy to smithereens with a Double Barrel just 10 meters away, with one user calling it "The New Cancer".
A different user reciprocated this and claimed that the Akimbo is worse than the R90 Shotgun with Dragon's Breathe, something many would instead choose to forget.
It's needless to say that Akimbo shotguns are arguably the most broken weapon in Warzone Pacific right now; however, only time will tell whether Raven Software will heed to players' pleas.
