Best Kar98k loadout for Warzone Pacific Season 1 (VG)

Warzone Pacific Season 1 has finally arrived and it has come with the biggest change to date, as Verdansk has been replaced with a brand new map - Caldera.

The Caldera map is a huge island located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, and it offers an abundance of new locations to explore. loot, and fight for control.

Composed of 15 distinctive zones featuring hundreds of POIs, the new map offers a variety of terrains types that support a vast array of playstyles and strategies.

And while the map has quite a few tightly packed locations where SMGs and shotguns will be your weapon of choice, for those of you who prefer to take down opponents hundreds of meters away, Caldera will welcome you with open arms, because one of the main features of the map it's vertically which offers several great vantage points.

So, pack your trusty Kar98k, equip it with proper attachments, and you will have the best  Kar98k sniper loadout for Caldera.

This article will focus on the Vanguard version of the Kar98k, which comes with 10 attachments options, but if you prefer the Modern Warfare version, that one will serve you quite good as well.

• Muzzle: L Brake
  The L Brake muzzle will improve your accuracy by a notch and has no negative effects.
• Barrel: Krausnick 560mm Rapid
  It comes with a huge boost to your ADS speed, with a slight reduction to bullet velocity.
• Stock: Short Stock
  The Short Stock is the most important in this build. It will boost your movement speed, ADS speed, sprint-to-fire speed, and movement speed while aiming. On the negative side, it will reduce your accuracy and recoil control, but that's something you will learn how to handle with practice.
• Underbarrel: GF-59 Flashlight
  This might look like an odd choice to some, but having your enemies' nameplates visible from further away can be crucial when playing this build, and you will not be able to play without it once you get used to it.
• Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
  It provides ADS speed and sprint-to-fire speed bonuses with a slight reduction of accuracy.
• Magazine: Default mag
  You can go with something like 6.5MM Sakura if you wish more control and accuracy, but it will significantly downgrade your weapon's capability at long-range combat.
• Ammy Type: Lengthened
  The only somewhat weaker side of the Kar98k is the fact that it loses its power the further you are from the target, and with +3 on bullet velocity, this ammo type will help us to be deadlier from a distance.
• Perk 1: Fleet
  You will often use your secondary weapon when the situation requires, and Fleet will speed up the swapping process, plus it will further increase movement speed, something you can never have enough on Caldera.
• Perk 2: Fully Loaded
  It's a safe pick we always like to have, but you can choose something other if you prefer.

This is a well-balanced build that will work great in a variety of situations. You can start with long-range eliminations from POIs like the Peak or the Fields, and then switch to quick scoping in the Capital and the Resort. Just make sure to have an excellent SMG as your secondary, something like the MP40 pairs perfectly with the Kar98k.
