Warzone Pacific sniper tier list - Every sniper/marksman ranked from best to worst for Season 1

The highly anticipated Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific has arrived, along with a tonne of new content to breathe new life into the game, including the new tropical "Caldera" map, Operators, loads of new guns and gameplay changes. Therefore, it's only natural that players seek out the strongest and most broken weapons to use in the game.

Given the sheer volume of guns to choose from, it's understandable if you feel a bit overwhelmed by it all. So followingly, we've listed all of the sniper rifles present in Warzone Pacific and ranked them from best to worst to give you a better idea of which weapons are most viable at the start of the first season.

We should note that the weapon meta is likely to be shaken up considerably following the integration of COD Vanguard weapons, so we may adjust this tier list as the season progresses. So, with that said, here are the best sniper rifles and marksman rifles to use in Warzone Pacific Season 1.

Warzone Pacific Season 1 Sniper Rifle and Marksman tier list

Sniper or marksman rifles are long-range weapons that can destroy opponents, should you pick the best ones. Not sure which ones are right for the job? Don't worry; that's where our sniper and marksman rifle tier list for Warzone Pacific Season 1 comes in!

Description of the tiers

• S-Tier: The best of the best for lovers of long-range engagements. These sniper or marksman rifles don't even need all the best attachments to make their bullets sing.
• A-Tier: While perhaps not considered the best, these weapons shred enemies to pieces and are powerful and viable choices to use.
• B-Tier: These weapons require the perfect loadout to compete with players wielding S- or A-tier weapons. 
• C-Tier: Useful in certain situations with the perfect loadout, these sniper rifles aren't all that great.
• D-Tier: The trash tier. Don't pick up these weapons, even if there aren't other options. 

Sniper and Marksman Rifle tier list

There are 24 sniper and marksman rifles in Warzone Pacific Season 1. While we endeavour to always have our tier lists as accurate as possible, keep in mind that these tier lists aren't an exact science.

However, the developer can choose to either nerf or buff weapons throughout the season. When this occurs, we will update this list.

S-Tier

• Kar98k 
• K31 Swiss
• HDR

The Kar98k has been regarded as one of the most robust sniper rifles across multiple COD titles and seasons, boasting lethal damage over long ranges. So, it's no surprise that it summits our tier list. Moreover, the Kar98k (MW) also benefits from rotational aim assist, which truly sets it apart from the rest of the pack.

A-Tier

• ZRG 20mm
• SP-R 208
• Kar98k (Vanguard)
• 3-Line Rifle (Vanguard)
• Arisaka Type 99 (Vanguard)
• Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle (Vanguard)

The 3-Line Rifle and Type 99 are excellent alternatives to S-tier options like the Kar98k or K31 Swiss. The 3-line Rifle recently received an ADS buff, while the Arisaka Type 99 received buffs to aim flinch, ADS time and One Shot Kill potential.

Otherwise, the ZRG 20mm, SP-R 208 or Vanguard Kar98k are solid "go-to" weapons, each boasting excellent damage and recoil control. Furthermore, Activision recently introduced the Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle, which is undoubtedly capable of incredible damage.

B-Tier

• AX-50
• LW3 Tundra
• Pelington 703
• M1 Garand (Vanguard)

These weapons have proven reliable in Warzone but don't reasonably contend with the S-tier or A-tier weapons. Regardless, they are certainly worth including in your arsenal but may require the perfect loadout to shine.

C-Tier

• M82
• Rytec AMR
• R1 Shadowhunter
• SKS
• Gewehr-43 (Vanguard)
• SVT-40 (Vanguard)

We caution against the use of these weapons. While they are not entirely terrible, they desperately need more work to become popular, viable choices in Warzone Pacific. Otherwise, they might be perfect in experimental loadouts or uniquely specific situations.

D-Tier

• EBR-14
• MK2 Carbine
• Dragunov
• Crossbow

We strongly suggest avoiding these weapons. They are not viable, and there is little excuse to use them.
