Best Volk class setup for COD Vanguard

The Volk or Volkssturmgewehr is an automatic assault rifle in Call of Duty: Vanguard and is ideal for pushing enemy positions in the short and medium range. Admittedly, there's not much to hate about the Volk in COD Vanguard. It's listed in our A-tier list of assault rifles and boasts high damage, excellent recoil with one of the fastest rates of fire in the game, making it comparable to the STG44.

The Volk also has a high bullet velocity, which gives the feeling of hitscan. It also has the fastest ADS times in its class and is only held back by its poor flinch resistance and slower sprint-out time. But, of course, you need not worry about that because we have the best attachment loadout for you to use regardless of your playstyle. So, with that said, here's the best Volk gunsmith class setup at the launch of COD Vanguard.

Best Volk class setup for COD Vanguard

The following Volk loadout was inspired by the YouTube channel BennyCentral. According to Benny, the Volk has everything that you could ever want in an assault rifle. "It has a high fire rate so you can make corrections, its effective damage range and bullet velocity is high, making it easy to take down enemies at a distance," he said.

This is how we've built our Volk at the start of COD Vanguard:

• Muzzle: Mercury Silencer
• Barrel: Krausnick 728mm 05V
• Optic: (Personal Preference)
• Stock: Krausnick S12V PS
• Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
• Magazine: .30 Russian Short 40 Rnd Drums
• Ammo Type: Hollow Point
• Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
• Proficiency: Perfectionist
• Kit: On-Hand

The first attachment is the Mercury Silencer which is a standard muzzle that can be used in most cases. The Krausnick 728mm 05V can be equipped to improve shooting stability and accuracy. This attachment will also buff damage range and reduce scope sway and gun bobbing.

Next, the Krausnick S12V PS will give the Volk laser pinpoint accuracy by offsetting the recoil into the shoulder to reduce the kick, buffing recoil control, accuracy, flinch resistance, and recoil recovery.

The Polymer Grip will also improve the flinch resistance of the Volk, as well as slightly improve accuracy and recoil during sustained fire. Equipping the Perfectionist Proficiency will further improve recoil control, while the On Hand Kit will provide less downtime after using equipment, like grenades. 

Finally, the .30 Russian Short 40 Rnd Drums will provide a 45 Rnd extended magazine with larger calibre rounds to improve bullet velocity and range, damage, and bullet penetration. You can equip the Hollow Point ammo type to remove the damage penalty when hitting the limbs by increasing the bullet's stopping power.
