Call of Duty: Warzone hits over 30 million players in 10 days

Call of Duty’s second attempt at Battle Royale has been a huge success, with Warzone now hitting 30 million players.

Call of Duty: Warzone has achieved over 30 million players since its release on 10 March, according to Activision Blizzard.

The company celebrated the milestone on Twitter, which comes after they hit 15 million players in just four days and six million players in 24 hours.

Compared to the launches of rivals Apex Legends and Fortnite, it’s outpacing them both - with the former achieving 2.5 million players in 24 hours.

Fortnite however took a slower path to the phenomenon it’s become - but we’ll have to see if Warzone can maintain a player base for the year’s to come.

The initial success of Call of Duty: Warzone isn’t a massive surprise though - considering it’s free-to-play and has the huge Call of Duty brand behind it.

What’s unclear is how or if Activision will update Warzone moving forward, with rumours now circulating over what the next mainline Call of Duty title will be.
