While the vast majority of bugs are frustrating at best, a few cases are either too hilarious or awesome to bemoan. In a more recent case, a Warzone Pacific player found a unique psychedelic visual glitch that distorted colour textures, making it seem like the game was tripping on acid.
Rainbow colour bug makes Warzone Pacific look like it's on acid
On 9th January, Reddit user u/noahhhhhmm demonstrated an insane graphics glitch that looked like something out of Cyberpunk 2077. The bug has been upvoted more than 1,500 times and looks trippy as f*ck.
Indeed, most bugs and glitches attract negative criticism; however, this latest bug has seemingly been positively received. "I wouldn't even be mad. That's awesome," said one user.
"I say this every time I see these posts, lol. It just looks so cool. [I don't even care] if it gets me killed, I'd spectate the rest of the match just to keep watching it if I died," said a second.
Some players say that the bug gives off a subtle Cyberpunk feel and are even calling on Raven Software to introduce the bug as an official mode or feature.
"I'd be so down for a mode like this for one of the holidays or special event modes. This is f*cking sweet," said one user. "This is the kind of updates we actually need in the game," reciprocated another.
Of course, attempting to land kills in "rainbow mode" would be incredibly difficult; however, it seems fans universally agree that this could make Warzone Pacific infinitely more interesting.
Also, this latest bug should not be any cause for concern as it is likely resultant from a failing GPU or broken graphics driver rather than a bug within the game itself.
But, what are your thoughts? Do you think Raven Software should incorporate a "rainbow" game mode into Warzone Pacific, and would you play it? Let us know on Twitter.
