But the new season might hold more in store for us than expected. "Monsters are real", according to the recent cinematic for season 3 we've received, and Godzilla, The King of the Monsters himself, might be making an appearance.
Is Godzilla coming to Warzone Season 3?
On 13th April, we received the trailer for Season 3 and what to expect from the franchise as we await the new season. But the ending leaves us slightly confused yet excited.
Based on what is said in the trailer, Season 2's Nebula V has shaken something awake. Referred to as "Something far more powerful and fearsome than anything we could hope to comprehend," many are now speculating that this could be Godzilla.
Another piece of what we hope is evidence of Godzilla's appearance, is the distorted sound heard at the end of the cinematic trailer. Activision posted this sound to their official Twitter page and asked fans to decode it.
Once decoded, the message reads out "Monsters are Real." This sound coming just after the dialogue about a certain, "something" gives us hope that Godzilla will be making an appearance in Season 3, and fans certainly feel the same.

There have also been rumours that King Kong, another of the legendary monsters, could be making an appearance in Call Of Duty. Popular CoD leakers such as RealityUk and TheGhostofHope have posted images that hint at King Kong's arrival, though this is unconfirmed.
If these monsters appear in the game, we are unsure about their role in the gameplay. They might be playable by characters or give your team an advantage by killing opposing team members for you as part of a Killstreak or be part of map objectives.

Alternatively, they might be roaming the map, killing players at random as they go about their rampage. Either way, it's a unique development for the FPS franchise, and we are excited to see what they deliver when season 3 drops on 27th April.
While we can't confirm either of these Titans' arrivals to Call of Duty yet, it's safe to say the fanbase is holding their breath for season 3 and hopefully, Activision delivers.
