Warzone Season 4 Sniper Tier List - Best Sniper Rifles In COD

Looking for what's hot in the gun meta? Here's our tier list of the best Sniper Rifles ranked in Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Season 4.
Warzone Season 4 Sniper Tier List - Best Sniper Rifles In COD
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 brought plenty of new weapon balance changes, with several notable changes being made to the Sniper Rifle gun class. In the latest season, the main weapon tuning focus is flinch resistance. Flinch can completely alter the direction of your shots in gun fights, and changing the stat has some passive effects.

Ultimately, this can change tier list rankings for the best and worst Snipers. Along with Submachine Guns and Assault Rifles, Snipers have the potential to change the meta at the highest scale, especially once in the hands of skilled players. So here's our list of the best Sniper Rifles, ranked from best to worst, at the start of Warzone Pacific Season 4.

Warzone Season 4 (2022) Sniper Rifle Tier List

The Sniper rifle meta tends to shift slightly in each Call of Duty: Warzone season. Sometimes power is prioritized, while other times, like in Warzone Season 4, the aggressive options are given additional buffs. While bold Sniper changes were the focus, they weren't the only changes.

Seven Sniper Rifles were tuned as part of the flinch resistance buff. Then there were additional Snipers, such as the Gorenko Anti-Tank, that had sweeping changes for the better. Either way, there are some new weapons that you can test out at high tiers in Warzone Season 4.

Tier rank description:

  • S-Tier: This tier usually consists of the strongest meta weapons, for a good reason. These are picks that most competitive players will continue to use until something better comes along. They are nearly flawless.
  • A-Tier: These Sniper Rifles come close to S-Tier, and the line is often blurred. But in a fight with two equal players, the top-tier weapons will have the edge in consistency and power.
  • B-Tier: Here, you'll find the middle tier of the Sniper Rifles. These would still be considered usable, but they will certainly need the right attachments. Again, expect to lose some uneven fights.
  • C-Tier: This is where weapons start to lose quality. Attachments can help these, but they are primarily for fun. You can pull off some great plays, but they are going to lose a lot of fights.
  • D-Tier: Any weapon in this category should be avoided. They aren't competitive, and because of their lack of power, they are usually not fun. Maybe they can get some buffs, but don't hold your breath.

Note: This tier list will be ranked based on the latest Warzone Pacific Season 4 patch notes. The goal is to create the most accurate tier list that reflects the meta, but all lists will have some differences.

S-Tier Sniper Rifles

3-Line

  • ZRG 20mm
  • 3-Line Rifle
  • HDR

Somehow, the 3-Line rifle was among the Snipers to get some buffed tuning to the ADS transition time within the new update. Sadly, that's about the only change to the S-Tier. Most of this patch focused on helping A-Tier weapons overall, but many of these weapons remained unchanged.

A-Tier Sniper Rifles

Kar98k

  • LW3 - Tundra
  • Kar98k (MW)
  • M82
  • Kar98k (VG)
  • Type 99
  • K31 Swiss

This tier is about aggressive rifles with fast ADS speed and one-shot potential to the head. However, they were nerfed in the past, and their damage is still less consistent than rifles in the top spot.

B-Tier Sniper Rifles

AX-50

  • AX-50
  • Rytec AMR
  • Pelington 703
  • Dragunov
  • SP-R 208

Once again, Snipers like the SP-R 208 got just enough of a buff to flinch reduction to bring it up to the average rank. All the rifles here are certainly usable, but they should be reserved for fun classes where losing is definitely possible.

C-Tier Sniper Rifles

Gewehr-43

  • Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle
  • M1916
  • SVT-40
  • M1 Garand
  • SKS
  • Gewehr-43
  • R1 Shadowhunt

Nearly every kind of Tactical Rifle or Marksman Rifle is found in the bottom two tiers. Both the Gorenko and the Gewehr-43 were moved up to C-Tier due to the Warzone Season 4 buffs, but those were the only changes this far down.

D-Tier Sniper Rifles

  • EBR-14
  • MK2 Carbine
  • Crossbow

These weapons are essentially hopeless and they won't be getting changed anytime soon. One can only hope that after Warzone Season 4, some help is given to the weapons at the bottom of the barrel.

That concludes our tier list for the best Sniper Rifles in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4.
