The Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 Reloaded update is finally here! Raven Software has released its content roadmap, which includes the start of the enigmatic limited-time event called "The Numbers", later this month. There are also several new additions, including new Warzone game modes: Iron Trials '84 and Clash, a new Operator, new melee weapon, Judge Dredd skin, bug fixes, and of course, weapon balance changes.
Out of the twelve weapons that received nerfs or buffs, only one weapon from the Light Machine Gun (LMG) weapons class was changed: the LMG Alpha (or Stoner 63). Raven Software noted that their latest balance changes were aimed at better scaling weapons in accordance with the skill required to wield them. So without further adieu, here's our updated list of the best LMGs to use in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded, ranked from best to worst.
Warzone Season 5 Reloaded LMG tier list
Light-machine guns are high capacity, high RPM killing machines. Possessing good range, and high damage output, these guns aren't exactly light and thus mobility usually is affected. Typically, LMGs are best paired with an SMG or Markman Rifle.
Description of the tiers
- S-Tier: Meta picks for Warzone Season 5 Reloaded. With the right attachments, these could be considered overpowered.
- A-Tier: While not quite worthy of a seat at the top table, they are still absolute shredders and do considerable amounts of damage.
- B-Tier: In the right hand, and with the right attachments, these LMGs can still clap. Just make sure you know what you're doing with them.
- C-Tier: Don't pick these if there are other options available.
- D-Tier: Trash. Forget they exist.
Light Machine Gun tier list
We endeavour to always have our tier lists as accurate as possible. The developers may, however, choose to either nerf or buff weapons throughout the season as well. When this occurs, we will update this list.
We've listed all of the LMGs in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded, ranked from best to worst.
With practically no changes made to the LMG gun class, the PKM remains the strongest LMG to use in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded. The weapon excels at range and has considerable damage output potential thanks to its large ammunition capacity. The PKM's heavy suppressive fire makes it the perfect weapon to take down Snipers.
- Bruen MK9
The Bruen MK9 is a strong weapon that can be used to run down kids like an absolute unit on the battlefield. Despite its relatively poor accuracy, the Bruen MK9 hits pretty f***ing hard and pretty much redefines the phrase, "flies like a butterfly but stings like a bee."
We don't really feel as though there are other weapons to take the place of the Stoner 63 so the Bruen MK9 will have to remain in the A-Tier alone, for the time being.
B-Tier Warzone LMGs
The Stoner 63 has become a popular weapon to use in the previous season. In fact, it was already a popular pick prior to the recoil control changes made to the Task Force and Match Grade barrel attachments in the previous seasons.
Despite this, Raven Software decided to clap the weapon some more by increasing baseline recoil slightly, which further impairs recoil control of the aforementioned barrels. This makes using the gun particularly more difficult over long-range engagements.
C-Tier Warzone LMGs
- RAAL MG
Neither the Holger-26 nor the RAAL MG continues to impress us, which is why we've put them in the C-Tier. Both weapons have poor mobility and relatively slow firing rates, compared to the other weapons higher up on this list.
D-Tier Warzone LMGs
- FiNN LMG
These are the guns you swipe "left" to on Tinder. Just ignore them and pretend that they don't even exist. They're actual trash.
So there you have it, our tier list of all LMGs at the start of Warzone Season 5 Reloaded, ranked from best to worst. Disagree with our list? We don't care. If you're looking for more disappointment then be sure to check out our Assault Rifle, SMG, Shotgun, Sniper and Tactical Rifle tier lists.
