Is The Amazon A Good Class in D2R Ladder Season 5?
As mentioned before, the Amazon is the ideal class for players who want a class that can dish out high damage against single targets and quickly moves on to the next one.
Her abilities give her an edge over most enemies that can break through defenses and wipe out almost anything on the screen, and to top it off, she’s easy to use and can be mastered quickly.
There is, however, some drawback to her overwhelming capabilities, as she does have a limited and somewhat repetitive skillset, and her casting time is considered slow compared to other classes.
And because her most powerful build focuses on lightning damage, she’s limited in damage type and can be hard to use in the late game against enemies with immunity to lightning, but as we’ll see below, this can easily be circumvented with the right build.

Which Mercenary To Use With Diablo 2 Lightning Fury Amazon Build
The Desert Mercenary you can hire for Geiz is the ideal partner for the Lightning Fury Amazon build in Diablo 2 Ladder Season 5. When equipped with the Might Aura to increase the physical damage of your lightning attacks and the Jab attack to deal with enemies that are more lightning immune, it becomes a vital ally and a huge part of the success of your build.
You should also equip him with the Infinity Giant Thresher, which has a Conviction Aura that reduces enemy Resistance and Defense while drastically increasing damage. This Aura can break Immunity, including most Lightning Immunes.
It is difficult to keep the Mercenary alive until you have the bare minimum of equipment recommended in this guide. You can either drag Healing Potions onto the portrait or use shift + 1/2/3/4 to feed them directly from your Belt. Resistance bonuses from Thawing and Antidote Potions are also gained by the Mercenary.
