G2 and Perkz accused of player tampering

According to a report by VPEsports, several European LCS (recently renamed League of Legends European Championship) teams are in the process of making a formal complaint to Riot Games in regards to the manner in which G2 Esports approaches players, described as "systematic and repeated poaching". The complaint alleges that G2 player Luka “Perkz” Perković is central to the complaints, using multiple channels to contact players such as Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu in 2016, who was under contract with H2K Gaming at the time. The allegations date as far back as 2016 and continue to the present day, with a tweet from Fnatic founder Sam Mathews insinuating that players are being poached. https://twitter.com/sammathews/status/1066060238908997632 This could be referring to the transfer of Rasmus “Caps” Winther from Fnatic to G2, which was announced just two days after the tweet, though VPEsports' sources didn't mention this transfer as being part of the complaint. Here's what one source had to say about the ordeal: “I don’t know if all the blame will go on him [Perkz] but it wouldn’t be fair if it did. I know that once he reaches out to the players Carlos [G2 Esports founder and owner Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguz] gets on the calls to finalise the deals. This is G2 Esports thinking they can get away with anything because they have been getting away with it for so long. The other teams have had enough.” It's unclear what Riot Games will do (if anything) if these reports come to fruition. They have recently been announced as a permanent partner of the LEC and are one of the biggest names in the European League of Legends scene. However, there is a reasonable cause for punishment in this instance. VPEsports reached out to G2 for comment, who denied that Perkz had ever contacted players under contract with other teams on behalf of G2.
