Warzone Season 4 Reloaded: Release date, new weapons, Payload mode and more

It's been a minute since satellites crashed into Verdansk, ushering in Warzone Season 4 with all its new content. As with previous mid-season updates, we expect a whole lot from the Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update. While many of the details are still blurry at the time of writing, we have quite a few ideas of what you can expect. Here's what we know so far about the Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update, from the expected release date to new weapons, a new game mode, and weapon balance changes.

Warzone Season 4 Reloaded - Release date & time

With Warzone Season 5 expected to release on 9th August 2021, and Season 4 released on 17th June, we have an expected Warzone Season 4 Reloaded release date in mind.

Taking the Battle Pass timer into consideration, the most likely release date for the Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update is 14th or 15th July 2021.

Taking the release time of the previous season's Reloaded update into consideration, we can expect the Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update to release during these times, depending on your region.

• 14th July at 9 pm PT
• 15th June at 12 am ET (midnight between 14th and 15th July)
• 15th July at 5 am BST (UK)
• 15th July at 6 am CEST (Europe)

Keep in mind that this is just the expected release date and time for the Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update, and Activision is yet to make an official confirmation.

Payload game mode in Warzone

Thanks to the content roadmap image you can view in the section above, we know Warzone will get a new game mode, called Payload.

The roadmap shows the new Payload game mode coming to Warzone as "in-season", and what better update to release a new game mode with than Season 4 Reloaded?

We don't know much about the Payload game mode in Warzone just yet. What we do know is that there will be two teams of 40 players. One team will have to escort a convoy of vehicles, while the other will have to sabotage them.

Players will be able to build barriers, while the other team will have to destroy them to reach the next checkpoint.

New Warzone Season 4 Reloaded weapons - OTs 9 & Mace

Two new weapons are expected to release with the Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update. First up, there's a new SMG that could really shake up our tier list for the weapon category.

It is called the OTs 9, which has "great stopping power and a phenomenal rate of fire". However, it only has a magazine size of 20. 

The OTs 9 SMG is expected to release via an in-game challenge once Warzone Season 4 Reloaded goes live. Alongside the OTs 9 SMG, there's a new melee weapon called the Mace.

No additional information about the Mace, and how players will be able to unlock it, is available at the time of writing.

Weapon balance changes in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded

At the time of writing, the official weapon balance changes for Warzone Season 4 Reloaded has not been revealed. The developers deployed significant balance changes in the Season 4 update, as well as the previous "Reloaded" update, so we expect to see a lot of new balance changes.

We've already seen the Nail Gun, FARA 83 and C58 get nerfed in an update on 2nd July 2021. However, we do expect another round of nerfs to the FARA 83 as it still sits at a pick ratio of 17% according to WZRanked.

Further, the kar98k Marksman Rifle might get some nerfs judging by the current meta. This is, however, just speculation, and we will update you once the developers reveal the official balance changes.
