Diablo Immortal Pit of Anguish Guide - Location, Level Required, Set Items, and more

As players approach the end game of Diablo Immortal, they will inevitably need to enter and clear the Pit of Anguish dungeon. This is the final dungeon of the game, so if you need some help clearing this dungeon and the demonic bosses that lurk within, then this guide is for you.

We will walk you through everything you need to know about this dungeon, from its location, the Set Items that are hidden within, and how to defeat the challenges you will face while clearing it.

In the last zone of the game, the Realm of Damnation, players can find the entrance to The Pit of Anguish dungeon towards the far end of the map. To access it, players need to at least be at level 56, and it being a late-game area, this will likely not be too far off from your current level.

The Pit of Anguish dungeon is considerably large but not very tedious to get through. You will enter the dungeon and make your way to the first of the three bosses, but as you do so, be sure to avoid the lava as it will deal severe damage if you step into it.

As you make your way through, you will come across some monsters that roam the dungeon, but you don't need to fight them and can make your way straight to the boss if you choose. Otherwise, you can clear out the monsters and make your way to the first boss, The Abyssal Tiller.

The Abyssal Tiller is the first boss you will face in this dungeon, and you will encounter him quite early on. He is easy to take down if you just avoid his fire bean attack and keep his burrowing and reappearing ability in mind. After he is defeated, take the path to your right to lead you to the second boss, Zolthrax.

Players must defeat The Abyssal Tiller and Zolthrax before facing the final boss of the dungeon. (Picture: YouTube / MWPGaming)

Zolthrax is large and bulky, making him a bit slow and easier to avoid. He uses some heavy attacks that deal decent damage, but if you stay moving and avoid him, which is easily done in this case, he shouldn't pose much of a threat to you.

Once these two bosses are defeated you must make your way to the end of the dungeon to take on Zaka the Abyssal Worm and complete the dungeon.

How to defeat Zaka the Abyssal Worm in the Pit of Anguish

Zaka has four main phases, and the first three revolve around you fighting him as he stands ahead past the edge of a platform. Each time he moves to the next phase, he destroys part of the platform you're standing, forcing you back and giving you less space to maneuver.

We recommend using as many long-range attacks as you can and sticking to the edges of the platform to avoid his attacks coming down the middle. From here, you should be ready to take on his first three phases.

Zaka Phase 1

During his first phases, Zaka will use a massive bite attack that is too fast to avoid so make sure you have healing items on your person, he will also spew out fireballs that create AOE (Area of Effect) damage when landing, so rush towards him to avoid the attack. Lastly, he will summon multiple Damned Infesters to attack you, so focus on clearing them out first before moving your attention back to Zaka and chipping away at his health.

Zaka Phase 2

After destroying a section of the ground, Zaka will continue his barrage of attacks from his first phase with the addition of timed bombs that will land and explode after three seconds, dealing AOE damage. He also uses an ability called Roar that pushes you back, this doesn't hurt you but can push you into other hazards if you aren't careful.

Zaka Phase 3

In the third phase, Zaka will only have one new attack, where he spews fire onto the ground, this can be difficult to avoid so when he raises his body, move to the left or right edges as quickly as you can. This phase is difficult as he's destroyed a lot of the ground you have to move on so stay vigilant when moving around and don't get overwhelmed.

Phase 4 the Heart of Zaka

After getting Zaka's health down in his final phase, he will break the ground and swallow the player whole, letting you enter the worm and destroy its heart. But the heart has defenses that you need to destroy to slay Zaka.

After Zaka swallows the player, you must defeat its heart guarded by the Parasitic Maw to defeat the Abyssal Worm. (Picture: YouTube / Boss Fighter)

Begin by attacking the heart until the Parasitic Maw appears to protect it. The Parasitic Maw has a few attacks to avoid, such as its Darts that you can avoid by moving out of the way, and the vomit attack that it spews out in a straight line.

It will also summon Worms that should be taken care of immediately, and uses a splash attack that deals AOE damage. Simply avoid all these attacks as they are very predictable and take down the Maw, and finally crush the heart to defeat Zaka the Abyssal Worm.

Pit of Anguish Set Items in Diablo Immortal

As with most Set Items in the dungeons of the game, you can only gain certain items when playing on specific Hell difficulty. This being a tougher, late-game dungeon, some of the items require you to play on fairly high Hell difficulties.
