New cards on your Collection Level tracker will be replaced by Collector's Caches and Collector's Reserves (the latter after reaching Collection Level 1000). These loot boxes have a chance to contain not only new cards but tons of other goodies as well.

How Collector's Reserves Work In Marvel Snap

Collector's Reserves and Collector's Caches are loot boxes with a set chance to contain various items, including new cards, Variants, currency, and more. Several potential items can be obtained whenever you open a Collector's Reserve in Marvel Snap. Here are all the items that can be found in Collector's Reserves, including their drop chance.

Collector's Reserve Drop Rates

  • 100 Collector's Tokens - 25%
  • New card (Series 3) - 22.25%
  • 300 Credits - 10%
  • 200 Gold - 10%
  • Variant - 10%
  • Avatar - 7.5%
  • Title - 7.5%
  • 400 Credits - 5%
  • New card (Series 4) - 2.5%
  • New card (Series 5) - 0.25%

Additionally, after collecting every card in Series 3, changes will be made to the Collector's Token acquisition rate to reflect this. Collector’s Reserves will start to reward different amounts of Collector’s Tokens varying from 200-600 instead of only 400.

The developers have stated, however, that the overall acquisition rate of Tokens remains the same. This means you are still guaranteed to open the same amount of Tokens over, for example, 100 Collector's Reserves, but these will be varied between 200-600 random unlocks. There is also a guaranteed pity for Series 4 cards every 40 boxes.

The developers have also noted that new cards in Collector's Reserves are not predetermined. This means that the card you will obtain is rolled the second you press the chest in the Collection Level menu. So, it is recommended to save your Collector's Reserves when nearing a seasonal event with limited Variants or an upcoming Series drop.

For example, if you desperately want a Series 4 card like She-Hulk, it is best to wait for her upcoming drop into Series 3 before you open your Collector's Reserve, as she will have an increased chance of appearing. And that's everything you need to know about how Collector's Reserves work in Marvel Snap!
