How Do Ties Work In Marvel Snap?

Marvel Snap is a fun and addictive card battler that has won fans worldwide thanks to its addictive gameplay and charming design. Games in Marvel Snap last six turns, and players must play cards with varying powers across three locations. At the end of the game, the power levels are tallied up and whoever wins two of the three locations wins the match.

However, is it possible to tie in Marvel Snap? And, if so, what happens if you draw in Marvel Snap? That's what we are here to answer! This article will explain everything you need to know about ties in Marvel Snap, including when they happen and what happens to your precious cubes when they do.

As mentioned, games in Marvel Snap are won by winning two out of the three possible locations. However, if one player wins the first location, the other player wins the second location, and the third location is tied, the total power across all three locations will determine the winner. If this occurs, cubes will be doled out or removed accordingly, so make sure you know what you are getting into before letting a game that will tally total power reach turn 6.

Knowing when a game will result in this kind of stalemate is important, as your strategy might change. In the event that two locations are filled or unplayable due to restrictions, such as "cards can't be played here," it may be beneficial to drop the strongest cards you have and hope for a bigger number at the end of the match. Iron Man, in particular, is great for pumping up the power of a single location to ridiculous levels and may be the deciding factor in your tiebreaker game.

All of this being said, it is, in fact, possible to have a genuine tie in Marvel Snap. If there is no clear victor across all three locations and the total power levels add up to the same number, then the game will be classified as a tie. In the event of a tie, neither player loses or gains any cubes, and the entire match was essentially a giant waste of time! Still, tiebreakers are bound to happen once and again, and it pays to know the ins and outs of how ties work in Marvel Snap.
