Diablo 2 Resurrected Barbarian Whirlwind changes/buffs

Blizzard has made some changes to Barbarians. Specifically, there are improvements to the Whirlwind skill in Diablo 2 Resurrected.
- World First Diablo 2 Resurrected holy grail challenge completed
- Diablo 2 Resurrected character deleted and progress gone - how to bring back
- Diablo 2 Resurrected Black Screen freezes - solution how to fix
- Diablo 2 Resurrected best Assassin build - beginners guide
These changes to the Barbarian's Whirlwind, arguably the most-used skill for the class, was only mentioned briefly and the official patch notes for Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.4.3 has been updated.
As noted by Community Manager PezRadar "some things snuck in" and have retroactively been added to the patch notes.

The Barbarian Whirlwind changes explained: "Players can now start a new Whirlwind, Leap, or Leap Attack immediately after a Whirlwind ends.
"Changed the logic for determining how often Whirlwind attacks occur. Whirlwind now incorporates Increased Attack Speed (IAS) from all equipment. The frames between each Whirlwind attack are equal to the attack frame of a basic attack for that character (modified by increased attack speed). While dual wielding, the attack frame for each weapon will be averaged (rounding up). Overall, Whirlwind attacks should be at least as fast as they were before. Slower weapons will attack notably faster."
D2R Barbarian update changes:
- Whirlwind: Improve the skill at lower levels.
- Starting damage% increased from -50 to +30.
- Damage% per level reduced from +8 to +5.
- Starting Attack increased from 0 to +50.
So there you have it, the sneaky, hidden Barbarian changes/buffs in the Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.4.3 update. Maybe some players have already noticed these changes to Whirlwind, but the more you know, the better.
