Captain America is one of the most beloved characters in the Marvel Universe. Although incredibly strong in the MCU and comics, Captain America in Marvel Snap is decent at best. Captain America is a three-cost three-power card with an Ongoing ability that buffs your other cards at the same location by one power. The card is very simple and easy to understand but doesn't see much play in part to Cap's lackluster ability. That being said, there are a few decks out there where Captain America is a staple inclusion, and we'll be breaking them down right here.
So, if you are ready to start using Captain America in Marvel Snap, you've come to the right place! This article will cover the best Captain America decks in Marvel Snap, including deck lists, strategies, and more.

Best Captain America Decks In Marvel Snap
The best Captain America decks in Marvel Snap are typically those that run enough low-cost cards to benefit from Captain America's Ongoing ability or decks that run Ongoing synergistic cards in general. To get the most value out of Captain America's ability, players will need to play three other cards at the same location as him. Considering Captain America can be played as early as turn three, that only leaves three more turns for you to compete for enough locations to win the game.
Captain America sees play in tons of Zoo decks because of the sheer number of low-cost cards. Zoo decks typically fill each location fully, making Captain America's ability fully optimized.
Zoo Deck List:
- Squirrel Girl
- Rocket Raccoon
- Captain America
- Blue Marvel
Captain America also does well in various Ongoing archetypes. Typically, the standard Ongoing Destroyer deck aims to play in, at most, two locations. More often than not, players will seek to dominate one location entirely before using Destroyer to close out the victory on its own. Spectrum is also great at buffing all of your Ongoing cards. Captain America works great here as you will likely fill a location entirely before the end of the game, making Captain America a great value card that is essentially providing six power for three energy under the right circumstances.
Ongoing Deck List:
- Captain America
- Professor X
