The Grand Theft Auto Online Summer Update release date has reportedly leaked according to a reliable Rockstar Games insider known as TezFunz2.
While this hasn’t been officially revealed by Rockstar Games themselves, and likely won’t be revealed for another week or so, this lines up with Rockstar stating that the current Grand Theft Auto Online season will end on June 12th, which would have the GTA Online Summer Update launching the day after this.
Previously summer GTA Online updates have added a significant amount of content to the game, with last year adding new secret agent story missions and various other changes in The Criminal Enterprises. With a rumored reveal for Grand Theft Auto 6 coming up, and most of Rockstar’s resources likely hard at work on that game rather than content for a game that is about to become obsolete, it’s unclear if this update will be as big or as expansive as previous Grand Theft Auto Online Summer Updates.
Last year, a huge leak took place at Rockstar Games that allegedly showed in-production footage of Grand Theft Auto 6 and also revealed that the game will have two playable characters, one female and one male. Rockstar refused to comment on whether this leak is real or not, though the refusal to comment may indicate the legitimacy of it.
