Diablo 4's limited-time event, Lunar Awakening, runs until Feb. 20, 2024. It's all about mysterious manifestations in Shrines across all regions of Sanctuary (and Nightmare Dungeons), as players earn more Ancestors Favor reputation and great rewards. That's why you need to know what the Diablo 4 Shrine bonus effects and buffs are during Lunar Awakening, and we are here to help!
Diablo 4 Shrines & Bonus Effects in Lunar Awakening
We aren't going to beat around the bush here, chasing Treasure Goblins around! During Lunar Awakening, once you activate a Shrine, you get a 50% XP bonus (multiplicative) as well as a 30% increased movement speed. You also earn Ancestors Favor reputation for every monster killed while a Shrine is active.
The Diablo 4 Shrines in Lunar Awakening also have an additional, unique effect! The table below outlines each of these bonus effects per Shrine.
| Diablo 4 Shrine Type | Lunar Awakening Bonus Shrine Effect |
| Artillery Shrine | Casts have a chance to summon a holy bomb. |
| Blast Wave Shrine | Each explosion summons a cluster bombardment. |
| Channeling Shrine | Increased attack speed and chance to reset cooldowns. |
| Conduit Shrine | Summon frequent, powerful, shocking strikes. |
| Greed Shrine | Chance to summon a Treasure Goblin. While the Shrine is active, 25 kills summons a Treasure Goblin, and 50 kills summons a second. |
| Lethal Shrine | Chance to instantly execute a struck monster, causing Fear on surrounding monsters. Note: this includes Elites, but excludes Bosses and other Players. |
| Protection Shrine | You reflect all incoming damage. Damage reflected scales with Level and World Tier. |
To make farming Ancestors Favor even faster, Miserly Spirits spawn once you activate a shrine. This means you can quickly rack up those kills with the Greed Shrine, for example, and spawn a couple of Treasure Goblins!
