Diablo 4 Transmogs Explained: How To Change Your Wardrobe

It's no secret that Diablo 4 offers players tons of unique features and mechanics to try out and explore as they slay demons in Sanctuary. Some of these features, such as the Wardrobe and Transmogs, are purely aesthetic, and while they may not have any effect on gameplay, they do make you look pretty awesome and intimidating.

So in this guide, we'll be breaking down how to change your wardrobe in Diablo 4 using the Transmogs and Wardrobe features in the game. So without further delay, let's jump right in and get you decked to battle in style.

Update on 14 June 2023: We've updated this article with the latest info on Diablo 4's Wardrobe and Transmog systems.

Diablo 4 Transmogs Explained: How To Change Your Wardrobe

There are two main ways to change your look when playing Diablo 4, and they are your Transmogs and your Wardrobe. Transmogrfication changes the way a specific piece of gear looks, and the Wardrobe lets you swap out the gear you wearing for something more pleasing or remove it entirely to reveal your customized character underneath

The Wardrobe and your Stash of gear can be accessed in the main city of Kyovashad, and once you're ready to get customizing, you can use the outline below to understand the main components that you can change when using your wardrobe or the Transmog in Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 Transmogs and Wardrobe - Variants

Variants are pretty much what it says on the lid; the player can choose from the variants/styles of gear that you've seen before in the game and transmogrify their armor to look like these variants. The gear pieces you can transmogrify are the Helmet, Chest, Gloves, Pants, and Boots.

You can also purchase some unique items with the desired cosmetics to mix and match your variants to create unique looks for your character. Which ultimately means that you have an almost endless supply of gear sets to create with all the variants available to you.

Diablo 4 Transmogs and Wardrobe - Pigments

The Pigment feature is also pretty self-explanatory, as it allows players to change the color of any piece of gear that can be transmogrified, except for weapons. Pigments come in a set of 4 colors that will always be applied together, and they color various pieces of your gear parts at once to create a distinct look.

The menu will give you the option to either click once to color the specific gear piece or to hold down the left click to color the entire set you're wearing. This makes transmogrifying your gear and getting the desired look of a deadly warrior easy and fast.
