Craft Malignant Hearts in Diablo 4 Season 1: Material Cost

A new crafting material, called Ichor, is used to craft Malignant Hearts in Diablo 4 Season 1. This is only available to Seasonal Characters and not to those on the Eternal Realm. 

Your first step is to start the Seasonal questline as soon as you create a character, speaking to the NPC Cormond in Kyovashad. From here, once you have enough Ichor, you will head to Cormond's Wagon for the option to craft Malignant Hearts. The requirements are not that simple, however, so we will explain the Ichor cost and caveats in bullet points below.

• You can create a random Malignant Heart of a specific type (Brutal, Vicious, or Devious).
• It appears you cannot create Wrathful (Super) Hearts.
• Creating a random Malignant Heart of a specific type costs 35 Ichor of the other two types.
• Via crafting at Cormond's Wagon, you'll receive a random Heart of that specific type based on your character level, so if you are level 80, you'll receive a level 80 Heart.

Still confused? Let's use an example:

You want to craft a Brutal Heart in Diablo 4 Season 1. This will require 35 Vicious Ichor and 35 Devious Ichor. Alternatively, if you want a Vicious Heart, you will need 35 Brutal Ichor and 35 Devious Ichor.

Ichor drops from lesser Malignant Monsters in Malignant Tunnels and out in the world of Sanctuary. You can also salvage unwanted Malignant Hearts for 5 to 15 Ichor for the first three types. If you salvage a Wrathful one, you will get 2 to 5 Ichor for all the other three Heart types.

It is important to note that the random Malignant Hearts you craft will be either specific to your class or one of the 12 Hearts that can be used by any class.
