Prospective Nephalem can craft several potions and elixirs in Diablo 4, but what about the powerful Incense consumable? Incense, created with the help of the Alchemist, is a unique consumable type that provides 20-minute buffs not only to the player but to their party members as well, making it ideal for grouping up and taking on World Bosses, Nightmare Dungeons, Helltide or any other endgame activity in Diablo 4.

This article explains how you can unlock Incense crafting in Diablo 4 and outlines all Incense, its effects, and the materials required to craft them.

How To Unlock Incense in Diablo 4

The first step is that players need to reach level 10. After doing so, they will receive a Priority Quest to go see the Alchemist in Kyovashad, the central hub of the Fractured Peaks region. Once you've upgraded a few potions and maybe crafted a couple of elixirs to help with your leveling process, you might be wondering when you can start crafting Incense.

Well, crafting Incense will require you to level up a lot more. In fact, the first Incense players can craft, Song of The Mountain, unlocks at level 45 when you are close to finishing the campaign.

All Diablo 4 Incense Effects & Materials Required

There are a total of 14 Incenses in Diablo 4 at launch. Some of them are in different "Type" categories, and you can only have one Incense of a type active at the same time.

The table below outlines every Diablo 4 Incense, the player character level required to unlock it, its effect and type, alongside the crafting materials required.

The Creatures of Night	Level TBC	Use: Increase the damage of Hit Effects by 100% for every nearby player. Lasts 20 minutes. This is a type III incense. Only one Incense of a type may be active at a time.
Reddamine Buzz	Level 60	Use: Increases Maximum Life by 500 for every nearby player. Lasts 20 minutes. This is a type II incense. Only one Incense of a type may be active at a time.	12 Reddamine 12 Lifesbane 5 Angelbreath 2 Fiend Rose 5 Grave Dust 5000 Gold

Storm of The Wilds	Level 55	Use: Increases Lightning, Cold and Poison Resistances by 12% for every nearby player. Lasts 20 minutes. This is a type I incense. Only one Incense of a type may be active at a time.	10 Howler Moss 10 Biteberry 5 Angelbreath 10 Reddamine 5 Crushed Beast Bones 5000 Gold
Desert Escape	Level 55	Use: Increases Fire and Shadow Resistances by 7.5% and armor by 75 for every nearby player. Lasts 20 minutes. This is a type I incense. Only one Incense of a type may be active at a time.	10 Lifesbane 10 Blightshade 5 Angelbreath 10 Biteberry 5 Demon's Heart 5000 Gold
