As a live service title, Diablo 4 will feature seasons, not unlike what we've seen with its predecessor over the years. However, Diablo 4's seasons will be on a more precise schedule, and the developers plan to add more content to the game with each season. But exactly how long will a season of Diablo 4 last?
This article explores the season length in Diablo 4, alongside a speculated release date of Season 1 and a countdown clock so you always know when another Diablo 4 season is releasing.
Update on 28 March 2023: We've updated this article with the latest information about Diablo 4 expected season length.
The Diablo 4 Open Beta has now ended and we look towards the game's full launch on 6 June 2023, or 2 June for those with Early Access.
How Long Are Diablo 4 Seasons? Length Explained

Let's just cut to the chase right away, Diablo 4's seasons will be much longer than that of Diablo Immortal, and they are planned to have a much more precise schedule than that of Diablo 3 and Diablo 2 Resurrected.
The estimated season length in Diablo 4 is three (3) months. Blizzard has confirmed that players will get "up to four seasons a year."
Seasons in Diablo 4 will shake up the meta, release a new Battle Pass filled with goodies, add new content, a new questline, have a specific theme, and much more. Diablo 4 seasons could also feature new live events, as explained by Blizzard:
Sanctuary is a living world filled with people, creatures, and factions striving to meet their own ends. Attentive players should be on the lookout for new live events that will crop up each season. An example of a live event might be the warning of an impending invasion of the Drowned, which may last a weekend, or the arrival of a strange peddler amidst the crags of the Dry Steppes. These events provide gateways to new adventures and unique rewards.
We will let our readers know as soon as we have official information about Season 1 and beyond.
When Does Diablo 4 Season 1 Begin? Countdown Speculation

Please note: When Diablo 4 Season 1 begins is speculative at this point. We will update this article as soon as official information becomes available.
Diablo 4 releases on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles on 6 June 2023 or 2 June 2023 if you've pre-ordered an edition that grants you Early Access. Diablo 4 Season 1 is expected to begin shortly after the game's release, as the developer noted, "a few weeks."
If we had to take a guestimate, it would be either 27 June or 4 July 2023, with the latter date putting it a month after the game's release. Below, you can find a countdown clock ticking down to the 4 July 2023 date, which will be updated once more information becomes available.
