The Diablo 4 Open Beta's early access this weekend will give some players a chance to take on a powerful world boss by the name of Ashava. This boss seems powerful based on what we know so far, but as with all hellish creatures in Diablo, there's always a way to bring them down.
And that's exactly what we're going to discuss in this guide, as we'll be taking a look at how to beat the world boss Ashava in the Diablo 4 open beta this weekend. So without further delay, let's get hunting.
Update on 23 March 2023: Don't forget that you can play in the Diablo 4 Open Beta running from 24 to 27 March. Good luck beating Ashava!
How To Beat Ashava in Diablo 4 Open Beta
While the open beta will only be available to specific players this weekend from the 17th to the 19th March for early access, it will also become available to everyone starting the following weekend on the 24th to the 25th March. So regardless of whether you're taking on Ashava this weekend or next, there are a few things that you should keep in mind when taking her on.
Ashava is a melee/poisonous-themed world boss, so be sure you're stocked up on poison resistance items and spells, as well as healing wares to close your wounds in case she lands one of her heavier hits on you. Once you're prepared for battle and know where and when Ashava will spawn, you can engage her in combat and use the following tips to avoid her attacks and ultimately beat her.
- Bite - The attack executes in a close melee range. She bites 4 times consecutively, with the last bite having a bigger animation and dealing more damage. Once you see the first bite, back off and avoid the last one before re-engaging.
- Double Swipe - Ashava will carve the ground in a 360-degree sweep, then carves again right after in a 180-degree sweep. It's a wide attack, with massive damage so as soon as you see the start-up spin animation, run, and don't engage until the second spin has completed.
- Leap - Ashava jumps and tackles you, which can knock you down. She dips into a pouncing stance before leaping, so use this as a signal and evade to either side to avoid being in front of her.
- Ground Pound - Pounds the ground, then swipes behind shortly afterward, hitting the front and back. The pull effect and damage dealt here is the concern. The pound can be easily avoided, just back off as soon as you see the ground being hit.
- Acid Spot - Vomits 3 blobs of Poison on the battlefield. Stays for 20 seconds. Simply avoid this for the duration of its effect and you'll be safe.
And that's everything you need to know to be prepared for defeating Ashava in the upcoming Diablo 4 open beta. Once slain, she will reward you with 731 XP and 840 GP, so it's well worth the experience and resources to take down the powerful world boss with all your might.
