How To Hide Helmet in Diablo 4

A step-by-step guide to hiding your helmet in Diablo 4 so you can see your character's face.
How To Hide Helmet in Diablo 4

Do you want to see your character's face/hair since you spent much time on the character creation scene? Then you will have to hide your helmet in Diablo 4!

This guide explains how you can quickly and easily hide your Diablo 4 character's helmet, so you can see their face/hair and accessories during cutscenes or out in the open world as you slay demons from the Burning Hells and the followers of Lilith.

Before level 10 (about 1 hour into the campaign), you will already find helmet/headpieces dropping, and of course, you will need to equip them to increase your character's power. This, however, means you might see your character with an ugly helmet in a cutscene. It doesn't look great, so how do you hide your helmet in Diablo 4?

Well, it is quite simple, as you can follow the steps below to hide your character's helmet in Diablo 4 with ease:

  • Head to your Wardrobe in a main city. In Kyovashad, it is left of the Waypoint next to your Stash.
  • Select the Wardrobe while standing next to it to open the customization feature.
  • The Wardrobe tab will be selected by default. If not, select it at the top instead of "Appearance" or "Headstone."
  • Under the Armor tab, select your Helmet/Headpiece.
  • Select the "Unequipped Look" option.
  • Confirm and save the selection by pressing the "Apply Look" button.

That's it; you've successfully hidden your character's helmet/headgear in Diablo 4. There's really nothing more to it than that.

It probably goes without saying, but we are going to anyway; this does not affect your character's stats or power in any way, as the game will still, for the purpose of stats/armor/affixes, see your helmet as equipped.

For a visual guide, in case you need one, YourSixGaming's YouTube channel has a nice one about hiding your helmet in Diablo 4, which is just over one minute long, so take a look below.

That's everything Diablo 4 players need to know about hiding their helmets to see their character's face/hair in cutscenes and more. If anything changes (we highly doubt it will), we will endeavor to update this article quickly.
