Does Diablo 4 Have WASD Support at Launch?

Does Diablo 4 Have WASD Support?

Previously, the creators of Diablo 4 expressed unwavering confidence in the game before its launch. Art Director John Mueller and Associate Game Director Joe have stated that they have diligently addressed minor issues in the background to avoid potential problems for players and ensure a smooth launch. 

However, it appears that WASD support was completely overlooked in favor of ensuring other details were addressed and squashed. And the fans have responded to this approach in turn.

The absence of WASD support has ignited a passionate debate within the gaming community. Some individuals strongly advocate for the inclusion of WASD support due to accessibility concerns, as certain conditions can make mouse control painful or completely impossible. 

While a controller can be helpful, it still requires certain movements that may be challenging for some players, and others firmly believe that WASD control is the most convenient way to navigate an RPG. Diablo 4 WASD PC Support Release Date

While we don't know exactly when WASD support will be coming to Diablo 4, we do know that the developers are aware of the issue. This is proven by a recent Twitter interaction when the executive producer of the game, Rod Fergusson, was asked about the WASD support on launch. 

There is not but we're very aware of the feedback. In the meantime, I hope you can give controller support a shot.

He replied by stating that "There is not but we're very aware of the feedback. In the meantime, I hope you can give controller support a shot." Ultimately making it clear that the developers know that many payers want WASD controls, but it's likely to only be addressed well after the game launch. 

Most likely, players will receive WASD control support later in the game's life, perhaps through a patch or seasonal update. When this does happen, we'll be sure to update this article accordingly. 

Considering the number of gamers who have expressed their dissatisfaction to Blizzard regarding the lack of keyboard controls, it is reasonable to assume that the company will strive to rectify the issue as soon as possible.
