While the start of Diablo 4's Season of the Construct didn't go down too well, Blizzard is recovering nicely. With patch 1.3.3, we will finally see the release of Diablo 4's Gauntlet and Leaderboard system, an exciting prospect for many Nephalem who've overcome the challenges of Sanctuary.

The Gauntlet is an endgame activity much like Challenge Rifts in Diablo 3. In Diablo 4, Gauntlets will feature enemies level 100 and beyond. Unless, of course, you are a hardcore cat who can one-shot endgame bosses...Whatever the case may be, it's an exciting addition to Diablo 4's endgame, so let's check out the Gauntlet's release time and date.

The first Gauntlet in Diablo 4 is set to release on 5 March 2024, following the server maintenance period to usher in patch 1.3.3. For reference, the server maintenance times are:

  • Diablo 4 EU Maintenance - Tuesday from 18:00 to 19:00 CEST.
  • Diablo 4 US Maintenance - Tuesdays from 09:00 to 10:00 PST.

We expect the precise Gauntlet release time and date to be 10:15 PST on 5 March 2024, repeating each week with a new iteration. You can stare at the countdown timer below, watching the days, hours, minutes, and seconds tick by until the release of the Gauntlet endgame system in Diablo 4.

What is Gauntlet in Diablo 4?

Attached to the Gauntlet is a leaderboard where the best players in the world compete to get immortalized in the Hall of The Ancients. You'll also earn Seals for rewards in the form of Caches and attempt to become one of the best Diablo 4 players.

Nephalem can also complete Proofs of Might by killing Monsters and opening chests within the 8-minute time limit. Blizzard explains how the Gauntlet works in Diablo 4:

The Gauntlet is a fixed layout, non-linear dungeon that changes weekly. It’s an endgame dungeon where mastery, cunning, and skill will achieve the highest score. Your score is based on how many Proofs of Might you can earn from killing Monsters and opening chests within the 8-minute time limit. Each time you enter the Gauntlet during the week, it will be identical so you can devise your most efficient mode of slaughter and let the corpses mark your progress.

In case you've been trapped in the Secret Cow Level (which doesn't exist...) and missed it, check out the latest Diablo 4 Campfire chat showcasing Gauntlet gameplay and much more.

We hope to see you all in Sanctuary, conquering the leaderboards of the Gauntlet endgame system! Good luck, Nephalem, you might need it!
