What is Crowd Control in Diablo 4?

Simply put, Crowd Control (CC) encompasses a wide array of status effects and debuffs that can be inflicted upon enemies or experienced by your character. These effects typically have a short duration but serve to momentarily slow down or stagger enemies, providing you with a brief respite to either create distance or focus your efforts on dispatching more dangerous foes.

It's worth noting that Crowd Control effects are generally less effective against elite enemies, especially powerful bosses. While it's not to say that you shouldn't attempt to use CC on them, the likelihood of success decreases as the enemy's level of strength increases.

As a result, it's often more advantageous to prioritize employing these effects on weaker enemies, maximizing their effectiveness and impact.
