Diablo 4 Helltide Start Times, Tracker & Map Season 1

We explain exactly when Helltides spawn in Diablo 4's various zones and how to use a tracker to make farming easy, including a Helltide map!
Diablo 4 Helltide Start Times, Tracker & Map Season 1

You might be wondering exactly when and where Helltides spawn in Diablo 4 to farm those Forgotten Souls and Fiend Roses with relative ease. Well, if you are like us, you might just randomly see a Helltide spawn in Nightmare (World Tier 3) difficulty or above, but timing is everything when it comes to effective farming.

That's why we are here to help, as we outline exactly when Helltides spawn, where they spawn, and how you can use a map complete with a tracker to never miss out on a Helltide again.

Update on 24 July 2023: We've updated this article with details so you never miss out on a Helltide in Diablo 4 ever again.

Best Helltide Tracker For Diablo 4 in Season 1

After completing the campaign and unlocking Nightmare difficulty in Diablo 4, Helltides periodically spawn across Sanctuary. They can spawn in any of the five zones, and unless you are in the game playing, you won't know when they spawn. Further, if you are busy with a dungeon, you might miss out on some exciting Helltide farming.

To this end, we want to share the Helltides.com website with our Diablo 4 fans. This website is a community-driven project which tells you exactly when the next Helltide begins, alongside a map of its spawn locations, Mystery Chest locations, and even a countdown to when the current Helltide is about to end.

An alternative is D4Events.live, which a reader Elad Jarby (@eladjarby12 on Twitter), built and has notified us about! This is a lean website that only shows the countdown to the next Helltide and if one is in progress, when it ends.

Diablo Helltides Spawn Times Explained

Helltides are active for an hour, giving you ample time to farm some Aberrant Cinders! (Picture: Blizzard/Wessel)

Diablo 4 Helltide events begin every two hours and 15 minutes. A Helltide event lasts for exactly one (1) hour, as players can travel to these locations and take on buffed enemies and challenging events to farm Aberrant Cinders.

If a player dies, half their unused Aberrant Cinders are lost. Diablo 4 players have one hour to farm as much as they can and open Tortured Gift chests for specific amounts of Aberrant Cinders. When the Helltide event ends, however, all unused Aberrant Cinders are lost.

That's why you have to plan ahead and use the Helltide tracker for live start times and a countdown to the current Helltide's end time.

Hopefully, this will help Diablo 4 players never miss out on a Helltide again. Remember to grab those Fiend Roses as soon as you see one.

Good luck, Nephalem! Helltides is probably the most exciting endgame activity, as you race against the clock to get as much loot as possible. We recommend starting the Helltide farm as soon as you reach level 50 and get some gear upgrades.
