The battle for Sanctuary begins with Diablo 4's Open Beta Early Access from 17 to 19 March 2023 for those who have pre-ordered the game. We are already locked and loaded, ready to venture into the Fractured Peaks and slay hordes of demons straight from the Burning Hells, reaching max level in Diablo 4's Open Beta.
This guide discusses the max level in Diablo 4's Open Beta and the content you can experience with various classes. We've added a countdown clock to the first Open Beta for Diablo 4 for good measure.
Update on 20 March 2023: We've updated this article with official information from Blizzard relating to the max level, content and classes in Diablo 4's Open Beta.
Max Level in Diablo 4's Open Beta

Diablo 4 has a confirmed max level of 100, with players unlocking the ability to earn Paragon Points (4 per level) once they hit level 50.
For Diablo 4's Open Beta, however, the max level cap is 25. The beta isn't over once you hit level 25, however, as you can continue to explore the game's first zone and finish up quests, complete dungeons, and more without issue. Blizzard explains:
For the Open Beta and Early Access weekends, your character can only level up to Level 25, but you’re welcome to continue ripping through demons until the Open Beta ends.
Diablo 4 Open Beta Classes & Content

The available classes for Diablo 4's Open Beta have been announced. In the Early Access Open Beta, the Sorcerer, Rogue, and Barbarian will be available. In the following weekend's full Open Beta, all Diablo 4 Classes will be available.
- Barbarian
- Druid
- Sorcerer
- Necromancer
- Rogue
In terms of content, players will be able to experience the entirety of Act 1 and the prologue in Diablo 4's Open Beta. This includes the massive first zone of the game, called Fractured Peaks. Various gameplay systems should be on display, from the Codex of Power to world events and dungeons. Blizzard states:
Make your mark on Sanctuary by clearing hellish hordes from dungeons, completing intriguing quests provided by the locals, and amassing powerful loot from fallen foes.
We also speculate that Blizzard might throw in a World Boss to give players a taste of this late-game activity.
Update: Blizzard has confirmed World Bosses will be in the Diablo 4 Open Beta.
Daring wanderers seeking a sizeable challenge should look no further—a gargantuan world boss can be found stomping about at select times during the Open Beta and Early Access weekends. Band together with other players for a shot at beating the beast. A sizeable loot drop awaits, should you be victorious. We’ll update this section with additional information in the future.
For those jumping into the Diablo 4 Open Beta, a word of warning: This is not the final experience, and its goals are testing systems and gathering feedback from players. Therefore, you might encounter server outages, broken aspects, and even performance issues no matter which platform you choose to play on.

Those who have pre-purchased Diablo 4 will receive Early Access to the Open Beta from 17 to 19 March 2023. The Open Beta will be available the following weekend, from 24 to 26 March 2023, for everyone.
