How To Join Diablo 4 Open Beta & Get Early Access
As is the nature of an "Open Beta," everyone on console and PC will be able to join the Diablo 4 Open Beta when the time comes. You will likely need a Battle.net account for PC and an account linked to your console, but nothing is confirmed.
To get Early Access to the Diablo 4 Open Beta, you will need to pre-order any of the game's Digital Editions. As an asterisk next to this pre-order incentive, Blizzard notes: "Minimum Open Beta duration is two days. Limited time only. Internet connection required."
Diablo 4 Open Beta Platforms?
We suspect the Diablo 4 Open Beta will be available on the following platforms:
- Xbox One
- Xbox Series X/S
Blizzard did note the following: "Actual platform availability and launch date(s) of the Beta subject to change." Therefore, it is unclear if some of the game's confirmed platforms might be left out of the Open Beta or if there will be more than one Open Beta depending on platform.
Diablo 4 Open Beta Content?
Players will be exploring the first area, Fractured Peaks, just like the press had the pleasure of testing in late 2022. We will be able to play with the Barbarian, Rogue and Sorcerer, and the Diablo 4 beta max level is 25.
Update: Blizzard has provided the exact details on the Diablo 4 Open Beta content.
During both the Open Beta and Early Access weekends, players will be able to intimately explore the early game of Diablo IV. This includes a first taste of the campaign via the Prologue and the entirety of Act 1. The first zone, Fractured Peaks, is yours to navigate as you please—stampede through the rugged landscape and cut down demons.
For the Open Beta and Early Access weekends, your character can only level up to Level 25, but you’re welcome to continue ripping through demons until the Open Beta ends. Make your mark on Sanctuary by clearing hellish hordes from dungeons, completing intriguing quests provided by the locals, and amassing powerful loot from fallen foes.
Simply put, this is your opportunity to combat the might of the Burning Hells prior to our June 6 release. With that said, the experience is not finalized and you may encounter performance issues, outages, and come across things that simply don’t work. After the Open Beta concludes, we’ll evaluate all feedback we’ve received and will make changes as needed. We look forward to you experiencing this small taste of what Diablo IV has to offer.
Get Diablo 4 Launch Early Access
If you want to get Early Access to the launch of Diablo 4, playing the full game before many others, you will need to purchase either the Digital Deluxe or Ultimate Edition. With this purchase, you will likely be able to play Diablo 4 as soon as 2nd June 2023, as the bonus is "up to four days" of Early Access.
Blizzard did add another asterisk note here, stating: "Up to four days based on estimated access: actual play time subject to possible outages and applicable time zone differences."
So there you have everything we know so far about the Diablo 4 Open Beta, including the exact start time, the platforms, and even how you can play the game's full launch up to four days early!
