To unlock the Sorceress' Enchantment system, you'll simply need to wait until you reach level 15. A slightly higher level than what is required to unlock the Barbarian's unique ability, but once you do, you'll automatically start the "Legacy of the Magi" Priority Quest, and once complete, you'll unlock the Enchantment system.

At level 30, you will automatically unlock a second Enchantment slot.

Diablo 4 Sorcerer Enchantment Slots System

Let's first begin by explaining how the Enchantment Slot system works for the Sorcerer in Diablo 4. Simply put, you will gain two extra slots for your skills on top of the current amount of skill slots you have available; however, slotting a skill into your Enchantment Slot doesn't give you its default ability.

The Enchantment Slot grants you two extra slots to add skills and draw out their secondary/enchanted ability. (Picture: Blizzard)

Let's take Arc Lash, for instance; its main ability is to "Unleash arcing lightning that shocks enemies in front of you for 42%. Every ten (10) times Arc Lash swipes, it Stuns all enemies hit for 2 seconds." But, it also has an Enchantment Slot effect that will only become usable once you slot it into the Enchantment Slot, which is "Whenever you are hit, there's a 20% chance the attacker is Stunned for 1 second."

This ultimately means that the Enchantment Slot gives you the ability to tap into any of your skills' secondary or "Enchantment effect" ability, which gives overall gives you more powerful abilities, and more options when using skills than other classes. Lastly, it should be noted that you gain the first Enchantment Slot at level 15 and the second at level 30.
