Moordaine Lodge Scosglen Location in Diablo 4
The image above shows you the exact location of the Moordaine Lodge Stronghold in Diablo 4’s Scosglen region. The great hunters of Scosglen once revered this lodge, and it now appears overgrown, but something is lurking inside, so let’s get to the good part!
How To Clear Diablo 4’s Moordaine Lodge Stronghold
Once you enter the area, you will first need to “Investigate the Hunting Grounds, and as per the image above, you will come across a gate that won’t open.
At this point, players will be tasked to find the missing hunters. These hunters are located to the sides of the Moordaine Lodge in Diablo 4, so just explore the small area and destroy all the enemies within. This took us just four minutes, so they were all not that far apart.
What you should definitely pick up, though, is the Altar of Lilith. Check out its location in the Moordaine Lodge Stronghold in the image below.

Once you find all the missing hunters, the previously closed gate will open up, and you will be tasked with slaying the “Beast of Moordaine” boss.
The next section of this guide focuses on how you can beat the Beast or Moordaine boss, aka Fionnir, The Mad Druid.
Beat Fionnir Boss in Diablo 4’s Moordaine Lodge Stronghold
The Beast of Moordaine boss starts off as a werewolf in a small area, with lunging attacks you need to avoid. Diablo 4’s range classes can make quick work of this first phase of the boss fight in Moordaine Lodge.
You’ll only need to take it down to about 70% health before the boss runs away to a new area. Once you get there, you will see the true form of the boss, Fionnir, The Mad Druid. The tactic here is to avoid the tornados and keep your AOE cooldowns for when the boss summons a variety of animal helpers.
We suggest popping an elixir to mitigate damage and staying clear of any avoidable AOE damage from the boss in humanoid form. In its final phase, the boss turns into a huge bear, which you can either kite around or blow up with single-target damage cooldowns.
One important note to successfully kill Fionnir, The Mad Druid, is always picking up the health globes once they appear, even if you take some damage in the process.
Diablo 4 Moordaine Lodge Stronghold Rewards
Just like every other Stronghold in Diablo 4, the main reward players are after is the 100 Renown for the region it is located in. For Moordaine, you get 100 Renown with Scosglen, a large helping for the roughly 15 minutes to complete.
In terms of items, well, that’s completely random. We got one Legendary ring, some Rares, and Gold. You also, of course, get an XP reward scaled to your level. It is important to note that Strongholds drop items with power around two levels more than your character, as all enemies within are, for example, level 52 if you are level 50.
