Are you a PC gamer excited for Diablo 4 finally getting Ray Tracing support? Then we’ve got some very good news to share, as NVIDIA has officially revealed the release date window for Ray Tracing coming to Diablo 4 and gave us our first look at the tech in action.
We’ll explain the release date window for Ray Tracing in Diablo 4, discuss what Sanctuary looks like, the graphical improvements you can expect, and the average frames-per-second (FPS) showcased by NVIDIA, with and without DLSS 3.
When Will Diablo 4 Get Ray Tracing? Release Window
Diablo 4 will get Ray Tracing during Season 3, which is expected to run from 23 January to 23 April 2024. NVIDIA has, however, narrowed it down even more, noting that Diablo 4 Ray Tracing will be released in March 2024.
At the time of writing, only the release date window has been revealed. As soon as an official, specific release date for Diablo 4 Ray Tracing becomes available, we will endeavor to update this section of the article with haste.
Diablo 4 Ray Tracing FPS With DLSS 3
Lighting looks much better with Ray Tracing in Diablo 4. You can also turn on Ray Traced reflections, and greatly improve the shadow quality. Without enabling Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) 3, you should get roughly 54 FPS, as showcased by NVIDIA. With DLSS 3 enabled, however, players can expect up to 188 FPS, a massive increase, to say the least. This does, however, depend on the GPU in your gaming rig.
NVIDIA has also shown off a short video showcasing what Diablo 4 looks like with Ray Tracing enabled, including improved shadows, reflections, and the frame rate you can expect with DLSS 3 enabled alongside Ray Tracing. Feast your eyes on the video below!
