Attention, Nephalem! If you want to fight the future forces of the Burning Hells, testing the upcoming Diablo 4 content via the Public Test Realm (PTR), then we've got you covered!

Stay awhile, and listen as we explain how you can join the latest Diablo 4 PTR, the precise start and end dates of testing, and what type of content you will experience.

How To Join Diablo 4 PTR

You must follow the steps below to test all the new content in Diablo 4's latest PTR. It is available with servers in North America, South America, Europe, Korea, Japan and Australia.

  • Open the Blizzard Battle.net App and select Diablo IV from your Games list.
  • In the selector above the Play button, there is a game version drop-down menu.
    • Select the option 'Public Test Realm.'
  • Click Install to Install the PTR client. This becomes a Play button when ready.
  • Click Play to log in to the PTR, and select any of the available Test Servers.
  • Create a new test character.
  • Enter the game and test Season 4!

Yes, in case you were wondering, you must have a copy of Diablo 4 to join the PTR! Those who are Diablo 4 via Xbox Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate on PC can follow the same steps above, starting with launching Battle.net via the Xbox App. 

Latest Diablo 4 PTR Start & End Dates

The latest Diablo 4 PTR runs from 2 April to 9 April 2024. That gives players one week to test the new content and provide feedback. The start and end times should be roughly the same as that of seasons, which are 10:00 PT, 13:00 ET, or 18:00 GMT, depending on your region.

Once you log onto Diablo 4's PTR for the first time, the following progress carries over:

  • Campaign Completion
  • Mounts and Skill Points
  • Fog of War
  • Altar of Lilith Stat bonuses

Level 100 Boost Characters in Diablo 4 PTR

You can also instantly boost your character to level 100 by speaking to an NPC aptly named "PTR boost" in Kyovashad. Just select the "Boost me to level 100" option.

  • 100 million gold
  • 1,000 Obols
  • Two random sets of Ancestral gear at item power 920
  • Upgraded Potions
  • Fully unlocked Paragon Glyphs
  • Up to 10 Tempering Manuals (class specific)
  • Base amount of all consumable materials
  • Materials to enter the Pit and Nightmare Dungeons are granted.
  • Fog of War will be completely cleared.
  • Completed Class system mechanics

You can boost new characters on the PTR as much as you wish. All characters on the PTR, boosted or otherwise, get double Legendary drop rates enabled.

  • New crafting systems: Tempering, Masterworking, and Greater Affixes
  • Itemization and optimization
  • Class balance changes
  • Codex of Power updates
  • Revamped Helltide events
  • Accursed Ritual in Helltides
  • World Tier 1 & 2 difficulty adjustments
  • The Pit of Artificers endgame content
  • Endgame boss ladder updates (including Echo of Andariel!)
