Blizzard

As Season 2, known as "The Season of Blood," unfolds in the world of Diablo 4, players have a wealth of new features and content to savor. One facet that underscores the Vampiric theme of this season is the introduction of a new set of Vampiric powers that players can wield against their foes.

Naturally, some of these abilities outshine others, and some are better suited for specific playstyles or experience levels. This can make it challenging to determine which ones are the most effective. So, if you're pondering which powers are the best investments for your time, we've got you covered. Below, you'll find our comprehensive tiered list, ranking all the Vampiric Powers in Diablo 4 Season 2 from best to worst.

Diablo 4 Vampiric Power Tier List: 22 Powers Ranked

We won't go into extensive detail about how the Vampiric Power system works here, as we have a comprehensive guide covering all of the Vampiric Powers in Diablo 4 Season 2 and how they function.

Diablo 4 Vampiric Power Tier List Overview
Our tier list will break down all 22 Vampiric Powers and order them in relation to their usefulness, physical output, and how applicable they are to the classes in the game. (Picture: Blizzard)

Instead, this guide will focus on categorizing all 22 of the current Vampiric Powers in the game into four tiers. We'll start with the S-Tier, which features abilities that not only offer the highest damage output but also provide effective tactics for use in the new Season.

We'll then progress down to the C-Tier Vampiric Powers, which, while not the absolute best, can still be quite helpful in the early levels and assist you in accumulating more Pacts to unlock more powerful Powers. So, without further delay, let's dive right into our tier list of the Vampiric powers at your disposal in the Season of Blood.

Diablo 4 Vampiric Power: S-Tier

Diablo 4 Vampiric Power Tier List S-Tier
The S-tier powers are broadly applicable and offer hefty options for battle strategy and damage output. (Picture: Blizzard)
  • Metamorphosis - When you dodge an attack, you transform into a swarm of bats, invulnerable for 1 second. Enemies in your path suffer 40% physical damage and are afflicted with the Vampiric Curse.
  • Ravenous - Lucky Strike: Up to a 20% chance to boost your attack speed by 10% of your total movement speed for 6 seconds. Current bonus: 0%
  • Undying - When you cast skills, they heal you for 0.75% of your life. This healing is doubled when your life is below 50%.
  • Hemomancy - Your attacks deal 20% of your maximum life as physical damage to nearby enemies. This effect can occur every 4 seconds, and you recover 1% of your maximum life for each enemy damaged this way.

For our top-tier choices, we'd like to highlight two specific Vampiric Powers that we believe are exceptionally valuable and potent: Metamorphosis and Ravenous. These abilities allow you to deal damage while evading, ensuring you're consistently dealing damage and increasing your chances of landing a lucky hit and gaining an attack speed boost.

Diablo 4 Vampiric Power: A-Tier

A-tier powers are still extremely useful and choosing any of them will help you win almost any battle. (Picture: Blizzard)
  • Accursed Touch - Lucky Strike: Up to a 44% chance to inflict the Vampiric Curse on enemies. Enemies under the Vampiric Curse have a 15% chance to spread it to nearby enemies. Accursed Souls deal 200% increased damage.
  • Prey on the Weak - You deal 16% increased damage to Vulnerable enemies. Vulnerability is applied to enemies affected by the Vampiric Curse from your other Vampiric Powers.
  • Anticipation - Your Ultimate Skills receive a 20% cooldown reduction and a 12% damage increase for each nearby enemy affected by your Damage Over Time effects.
  • Blood Boil - When your Core Skills overpower an enemy, you summon 3 Volatile Blood Drops. Picking up a Volatile Blood Drop causes it to explode, dealing 60% physical damage in the vicinity. Every 20 seconds, your next skill is guaranteed to overpower.
  • Sanguine Brace - Killing an enemy grants you 6% of your base life as Fortification. If your Fortification exceeds half of your maximum life, you gain an 8% Critical Strike Chance.
  • Flowing Veins - You deal 60% increased Damage Over Time to enemies that are in motion or affected by the Vampiric Curse.
  • Moonrise - Hitting an enemy with a Basic Skill gives you a 4% Attack Speed boost for 10 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. Upon reaching the maximum stacks, you enter a Vampiric Bloodrage, gaining 160% Basic Skill damage and a 15% Movement Speed boost for 10 seconds.
  • Hectic - For every 5 Basic Skills you cast, one of your active Cooldowns is reduced by 2 seconds.

Our A-Tier selections have Accursed Touch and Flowing Veins that synergize well. Additionally, Anticipation and Hectic work together to reduce your cooldown times and provide more opportunities to unleash skills and Ultimates. This all contributes to the effectiveness of Sanguine Brace, giving you a substantial health pool to rely on.

Diablo 4 Vampiric Power: B-Tier

Diablo 4 Vampiric Power Tier List B-Tier
B-tier powers are still useful, but slant towards a niche application depending on your class, making them less viable in all cases. (Picture: Blizzard)
  • Call Familiar - Using a Mastery, Weapon Mastery, Macabre, Wrath, or Imbuement Skill summons a bat ally to attack nearby enemies, dealing 80% Physical damage with a 30% chance to Stun.
  • Bathe in Blood - While channeling a Skill, you create a pool of blood beneath you. While inside the pool, your channeled skills deal 40% increased damage, and you gain 30% Damage Reduction. A pool can only be formed once every 8 seconds.
  • Domination - You deal 24% increased damage to enemies who are Stunned, Immobilized, Frozen, or Feared. If they're also Injured and not an Elite, they're instantly killed.
  • Feed the Coven - Lucky Strike: Conjuration, Companion, Minion, and Bat Familiar attacks have up to a 60% chance to restore 10 Primary Resource to you and increase your Damage by 10% for 4 seconds.
  • Infection - Hitting enemies with direct damage infects them with Pox. Inflicting Pox 8 times on an enemy expels their infection, dealing 70% Poison damage.
  • Resilience - You gain a 1% Damage Reduction for each 2% Life you miss.
  • Terror - When struck, you have a 14% chance to Fear nearby enemies and Slow them by 80% for 2 seconds. You are guaranteed to Critically Strike enemies who are Feared.

As we enter the B-Tier, the options become more specialized and cater to specific character builds or strategies, making them less universally applicable but still solid choices. Feed the Coven is effective for users who rely on minions, and pairing Call Familiar with Domination can easily exploit Stun effects and other debuffs you may apply.

Diablo 4 Vampiric Power: C-Tier

Diablo 4 Vampiric Power Tier List C-Tier
C-tier powers are the most niche Vampiric Powers and while they can be useful, they aren't the most effective. (Picture: Blizzard)
  • Coven's Fangs - Your Conjuration, Companion, Minion, and Bat Familiar attacks deal 52% increased damage to Crowd-Controlled enemies.
    • Lucky Strike: Your Conjuration, Companion, Minion, and Bat Familiar have up to a 30% chance to inflict the Vampiric Curse when hitting enemies.
  • Jagged Spikes - Thorns have a 10% chance to deal 300% increased damage and Chill enemies for 8%.
  • Rampart - After being stationary for 3 seconds, you gain a Barrier equivalent to 40% of your Maximum Life for 6 seconds. This effect can occur once every 20 seconds.

In the C-Tier, we find abilities that are highly specialized and may not deal the highest damage or be versatile in various situations. However, they still offer some valuable effects. For instance, Rampart provides a dedicated shield when you need to stand still and cast spells or use a skill, and Coven's Fangs offer a substantial damage boost when you're using companions, along with a lucky strike effect that can turn the tide when taking advantage of the Vampiric Curse.

In conclusion, this tiered list provides a comprehensive evaluation of the best Vampiric Powers available in Season 2 of Diablo 4, along with insights on how to use them to your advantage. If any changes occur in the meta related to these powers, we will promptly update this tiered list. So, use your abilities wisely, and they will help you overcome the challenges awaiting you in the Season of Blood.
